Anguished Was Lingwah vs. Pain
Bowstring Badass
Compare the 2 skills the levels differ but not damage and duration at the same communing. Anything wrong here or not? I think that the spirit level should be the same for these skills.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum if it is move it ;P.

anguished was lingwah is bad. 'nuff said.

Pain + Boon of creation (with a decent investment into SP, which you should have on a communing spirit bar) = free spirit
Anguished Lingwah = 15 energy. Plus it limits you from using things like Attuned was Songkai.

But you can precast it and drop wherever you can. And Attuned was Songaki on spirit spammer? I would rather take Ritual Lord or Wanderlust.
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Rt...Spirit_Spammer One of the best AwL builds.. Well, the only one that works.

Anguished was lingwah is really only useful if you're running a channeling direct damage/communing build. It allows you to precast the spirit so you can get around to spamming spirit rift/ancestor's rage faster once you get in a fight.

I've lost faith in Pain, mainly because it is still in the useless "Communing" skill line.
It's funny, when Factions first came out Communing was the best skill line available for Rits. Pain, shelter, union, displacement, bloodsong (before it was moved to channeling)...those were the days. When the rit lord ruled supreme and groups began to demand a rit lord in every high level group (FoW, UW...etc).
Then came the nerfs, and communing has never been the same since. The latest slap to pain has come in the form of vampirism. Now we have a PvE skill that doesn't require us to waste points on communing. While vampirism doesn't do quite as much damage as pain, it comes close.
So, to answer your question...neither skill. Go with Vampirism, unless you're planning to run some PvP.

Ah, but Vampirism does not trigger Painful Bond.
And in addition to the bundle aspect of Anguished was Lingwah, you forget that it is also a spell and thus benefits from HSR, HCT, glyphs, and so on. If you bring a good energy management skill, I would definitely say that AwL is better in most cases.

Think you guys missed my point. AT certain ranks in communing the spirit of Pain summoned by Anguished was Lingwah is a higher level then summoned by using Pain.
Dr Strangelove
I got it, my point is that if you're using Anguished was Lingwah, you're using it to jump through a hoop, not because you give a crap about the damage.
