Tips for getting Kurzick or Luxon title
Darkside
I just started playing through Factions and I'm curious to know the easiest/fastest way to get faction points for the Kurzick or Luxon title.
Shyft the Pyro
Fast Faction Farm, aka FFF, in Melandru's Hope outside Lutgardis Conservatory. There's tons of info on the subject if you look around. There's no faster way to gain faction, though it does get tedious rather fast.
For Luxons, the easiest way to gain faction fast used to be AB (Alliance Battles), but you can get a much more effective return on the time invested by farming in Luxon areas after buying the blessing at the shrine. It works best in Hard Mode, but I guess you don't have access to that since you haven't completed Factions.
Either way, you can find more info here.
Oh, and if you're just trying to get 10k for the Befriending quests, I suggest you get all your characters through the faction-reward quests on either side of the divide. Faction adds up across characters, and completing the Befriending quests does not drain your faction total, which means you can take multiple characters through once you reach 10k - and since you might want to complete those quests for other rewards anyway, you might as well finish them off on multiple characters at the same time.

I was also working on my kurzick title, the fastest way is by far FFF. Although I did have a problem, I tried doing FFF with my heroes and they don’t make it to br or mu.
I do sh and st, I was wandering if anyone could help me out?

Thanks for the information...I've maxed out my sunspear and lightbringer titles so I know all about tedious. In fact I almost had my lightbringer title maxed before they added hard mode. I've already completed the befriending the Kurzicks quest just wanna work on the title itself.
So the best way to do that is to get a priest blessing and clear out melandru's hope over and over again?

Just outside Lutgardis is an NPC which gives the Securing Echovald Forest repeatable quest. Doing that quest with three other people is the fastest way; each person runs to a different section to 'secure', making it faster than if one person and heroes/hench went to all four areas.
More about the run here; I managed to Wiki it.
Most people seem to be A/Rs; you will be able to find parties in Lutgardis. You just have to remember that it's a repeatable quest, so as soon as you zone from Melandru's Hope the quest resets for the entire party. The above page should explain it.

Doing fff (FAST faction farming) on the kurzick side at lutgradis, a good fast team can make 10k in a little over 30 mins. the problems:
1) It gets boring real fast
2) If your team isn't fast and perfect, naturally it takes longer and some people rage quit cuz it's not fast enough
3) To give you an idea how long it will take to max out the title...... you need 10 million kurzick faction. If you farm 100k faction per day, you cash in for 200k for your title. That's 50 DAYS worth of farming 100k per day to max out the title. You'd pretty much have to forgo your real life duties to accomplish this. Unless you have regular guildies who are willing to take this journey with you, finding new and competent pugs to help you do this for 50 days and meeting your quota is kinda tough.
4) Gwen is going live in 7 days..... good luck finding a good fff team for a few weeks/months
After doing some research on how the title increases the benefits of the pve-only skills, I've decided that the sweet spot I'm aiming for immediately before GWEN goes live is Level 4 to the title. This is about 550k faction. Skills like Signet of corruption, shadow sanctuary, and spear of fury reach a "next tier" benefit at around level 4 and won't gain any more benefit for another 2-3 levels. Naturally, the higher you title is, the better for all the other skills that reach a new tier with every new level.
I just reached level 3 kurzick title "Companion of the Kurzicks" WOOHOO!!!!! .... hey waitasec..... does that mean I'm now labelled the Kurzick prostitute? Yet another reason I need to get level 4 asap......

FFF for Kurrzicks with real people takes around 35-40mins for 10k(fastest recorded 10k was 31mins 5secs http://www.sinsalliance.com/forums/thread/6339.aspx )
There is also a build now for Luxon FFF out of Jade Flats..consits of 1 runner, and everyone else with recall. They do the Jade Arena quest in 1min 10secs-1min 40secs.

I've timed the jade arena with h/h at two minutes per run. So we'll say 28 times an hour because people pee and sneeze and such multiplied by 400 luxon faction plus the 50-75 if you buy the blessing comes up to 13300 an hour. Not too bad, but if you go AB and WIN you at least break even, and it is less boring.
I spend a LOT of time doing each. :/ The biggest upside to the quest, though, is that you can bring a key and run south a bit and there is usually a chest to open. You can kinda chase two titles with this one, but it is not fun, really. The quest reward pays for the blessing and then some, still.

Actually it's more like 5 titles if you use lockpicks
Luxon title
Treasure Hunter
Wisdom Hunter if it comes out gold
Lucky if you keep the pick
Unlucky if you lose the pick
Urm if there's more I can't think of it right now... Maybe Sweet Tooth title if you eat a cake to run out of the outpost faster? =D

alliance battles.

Sorry, if you are trying to advance this title, you are in for a LONG grind. What's worse is ANet tying skills directly to the title advancement. Even getting to rank 1 will take a lot of time.
That said, I think the three best options are:
1) FFF (as mentioned)
2) Alliance battles (as mentioned)
3) Hard mode run through Arborstone (not sure if this still works or not)

That record has been replaced many times over now, thanks to the Hero/Henchie FFF and decent person with a decent connection can run 10k in a little less than 30 mins.
If you are interested in getting massive amounts of Faction, I suggest that you join a Guild that Farms Faction on a regular basis.
