The concerns are valid but then again, it's not that much grind. You should be able to get the points in a couple of hours while you do boring delivery boy quests or unlock outposts that you dont need anyways...
I had to get the needed sunspear points so that i could challenge Morgan's men on Istan. Had to do some delivery work there. Boring. After many hours and reaching level 13 i could finally leave this terrible noob isle.
A boring and bad aspect of the game but overall i like GW. A pity that they make players do stuff that they find boring.
People dont really team up much, that's true. Mostly due to hero teams being stronger than the average PUG and due to how easy most parts of Nightfall are. In the other chapters, people are more likely to PUG - especially in Cantha.
Nightfall seems less demanding than the other two already easy chapters. Many missions are just pointless slaughtering of the same chanceless mobs until you reach the boss. Some are more interesting though and you'll usually find people to team up with for those.
GW isnt a strategical game, it's a tactical game. So no surprise that you wont find any strategy.
Many players love the grind as you can see from many responses in this thread and the developers seem to cater to those players more and more each chapter.
It's still a good game though, and im looking forward to GWEN - not to do all the boring delivery boy quests but hopefully for some exciting missions and a nice story line

On the contrary, it's you who is clueless. The OP needs to gather Sunspear points to progress in the storyline and thus he cannot access the end game region yet to get 7 points per kill. Doh.
