I just got Factions and am thinking of a Assassin build. I'm trying to make one with a high DPS, good survivability, and some energy management. What kind of secondary class should he have? I've narrowed it down to Mesmer (with all their spells) and Warrior (Bonetti's Defense and other stances). Which one should I choose?

build suggestions are also welcome!

I like Monk.
Mending Touch is always good.
And Restful Breeze is good, too.

... Except they're Nightfall skills...
Personally, I'd say Mesmer, mebbe you can put the defensive Mantras to good use.

Purple Lingerie - :D

Avoid stances that block they are pointless for sins and energy management = critical strikes. Stick to /w for IAS and /me is useless imo /mo is useful for blind removal. The only really good assassin combos is /mo for condition removal and /w for IAS.

I am currently toying with A/N so that I can have [skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill], to kickstart [skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill]. It has a low energy cost, and a fast recharge, something that I cannot find in Assassin hexes. Though not as fast a recast as [skill]Wastrel's Worry[/skill], it offers a decent heal in easier areas where there is less hex removal and mobs die fast.

Necromancer comes conveniently with [skill]Plague Touch[/skill]. While Mesmer comes with [skill]Revealed Hex[/skill].

I believe both combinations work in a very similar fashion, and can be chosen depending on whether you need to remove hexes or conditions.

I usually say: Pick any secondary(but don't use it ) untill you know what's best for yourself.

A/Me is the way I went.... but that is because I'm a roleplayer rather than a statistician. I was more concerned with making sure my Assassin was a master of deception and backstabbery than actually paying attention to the numbers.

Unfortunately... any amount of time playing Guild Wars will rape a person of all their roleplaying fantasies and the game becomes a war of mathematics.

Toward that end.... just go with Warrior and bring some attack-speed increase skills..... or go Necromancer for black-lining with Parasitic Bond (don't need any points in Curses).

could someone show me a build either A/Mes or A/War with high DPS, some heal, and good energy?
