Whats with the advertisers...

Well i was trading in kaineing and i couldnt help to notice that people spelled WTS and WTB differently to avoid going to party search.
Now why would anyone want to do such a thing?

Good question. The main reason is because the WTB/WTS party search thingy has a character limit that makes it difficult to sell multiple items.

If you want to advertise 4 items, it is virtually impossible to do so with the current WTB/WTS chat setup. With WTB/WTS you have I believe a 15 or 20 character limit. If you bypass the WTB/WTS system, you can go back to typing as much as you need to say.

Usually if I want to sell an item, I'll start with my best item:

WTS 20/20 spear mod for 12k
The above gets my ad on all the servers.

I then follow-up with:
Selling a 20/20 spear mod for 12k | steel ingots @ 200ea | bone, iron, cloth | req13 fire dragon sword for 4k

See, big difference in how much you can say.

obviously the \/\/T|3 sticks out more, also they could have been using all chat, WTB auto changes the sentance to trade chat.

What IS Wtb?

want - to - buy

WTB = Want to Buy

WTB = Want to Buy

WTS = Want to Sell

WTT = Want to Trade

Ok thanksky for the replies. I just thought they were being annoying.

I usually spell out "Buying" and "Selling" as most useless abbreviations and acronyms annoy me. It is also more noticeable in the busy districts.

just make sure if ur spelling it differently that u send the message to trade chat...because only wtb, wts, and wtt messages switches it automatically, and if u dont manually switch it to avoid the party search then ull end up getting a ticket
