I walked outside Sifhalla to do a quest and I saw a Dwarf NPC so I talked to him. He said he'd give me explosives if I gave him 100g. So I have him 100g. What exactly is his purpose? I looked him up on GuildWiki and he was listed as a Sorrow's Furnace NPC. Does he just give me powder to blow stuff up in battle or do I need him to open underground areas?

on a more serious note, i took him along as i mapped the area and generally hacked an slashed my way around the map and the dungeon, but apart from acting as a nice tank (walls with me to make a 2 man wall and doesnt move/screw up the pull) and look pretty, i didnt find any use for him :/

some roads are blocked by what seems to be crumbled walls or similar debris, though it appears as an open road on the minimap...im guessing he's meant to blow them up. also, his kegs do 50dmg to anyone within its range

maan u don't find a purpose? those kegs are like ultimate nuking power, pay him 100 gold aggro mobs right next to him and then just spam the keggs 50 dmg per blow to all nearby enemies its like 50 dmg every second depends on how many u drop really helpfull and also knock down! Enjoy

there were a couple of dwarven miners a bit up the road from where he was, picking away at a wall. unfortunately dropping the keg there did nothing, and we couldn't find any other place that they would blow up, though it's been said that such a place exists.

never tried it but I was thinking of setting a bomb on all the smoky areas over the lake monster, maybe to release it.

You're supposed to take em to the middle of Drakar Lake and blow it up. The giant monster comes to life and after you fight and defeat him, he takes you to a frozen underwater city sorta like Atlantis. It's called Nautica. From there you can embark on missions similar to elite missions.

ive tried it, and he just say keep up the good work or somethin, i tried placing the explosives in front of each miners but nothing happened

Oh hey is that it? When I was trying to go south west to go through the portal, the portal doorway is blocked by a ton of caved in rubble. Maybe we're supposed to lead him down there so he blows the path open to whatsis grotto

I've heard something bout putting the explosives at the avalance warning signs, not sure what that does though >_>

... it was the preview weekend... the landslides were just there to stop people going out of Norn territory to the rest of the Northlands.
