GW:EN Armor?

i have to say, im very disappointed in the armor of GW:EN. not because of the title requirement tho, bc it makes sence to me. in prophecies, u had to go thru the whole game to get the armor, in EotN, they give it to u in the first couple towns u go to. it just makes sence to me that ud have to work for it in this like u do in the others. what bothers be about this is that most of the armors ive seen are just re-skinned armors from previous campaigns. take the make norn warrior for example. they did a reskin of the charr hide armor and gave him bigger shoulder pads. and if u look ath the link above, u can obviously see the premival armor and 15k kurzick reskinned and resold. untill i see something more impressive, i stand disappoints (GREAT gameplay tho, just lacking in armor)

I don't know if I agree with this. I think ele Vabbian is beautiful! 15k Luxon is also very pretty. I'm sure GWEN will have at least one set of armor (there will be four) for every profession that will suit any specific player.
I hope more necromancer armors will be leaked. I've only seen the Norn armor and I'm not too fond of it. Does anyone have any other pictures of the other types of necromancer armor for GWEN? I'd love to see them...

What were you expecting? They've done just about everything they can for armor for all professions. If you really think you can do better, provide sketches of what you'd like to see.

Like others have said I seriously doubt that they will keep the requirment amount for the sake of happy gamers, last thing they want is a whole bunch of angry gamers, especially since "some" of them are sorely done reskins. However iv'e seen some of the norn armors so far and i'm impressed! However i'll be seriously dissapointed and surprised if they keep the requirements. Armors are one of the main reason I buy the games, grinding for each one i want (there are many) will be a major thorn in the side.

well i was kinda hoping that the people who get paid to do this kind of stuff to do it, but if thats asking too much, feel free to flame me some more for expressing my opinion. next time think before u type

EotN has 4 new armor sets, so far weve seen 2 of the 4 sets. this means that we have half of the armor sets that were gunna get. and u can get one of these sets in the second town u go to, not correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that means u get it in the "first couple towns u go to"

you get can Ebon Vanguard armour at the eye and Norn at Gunnar's Hold, which are pretty much the first two towns you get to. The thing is you need to grind up 56,000 faction per group in order to actually be able to buy the armour. So yeah, the armour crafters are pretty close to the beginning, but it takes quite a while of hard grinding to actually get them.

Having just had a look at the leaked pics of the Assassin armour.... firstly I'd like to note it is FAR too top-heavy.... and amazingly enough, it is even more unsubtle than Ancient armour...
People complain about the excess of blades.... and what do A-Net do? They give it freakin WING-THINGS instead.... How am I supposed to assassinate anyone or anything wearing armour that would better belong in a carnival?!

Yeah, I play almost exclusively as a male ele. It looks like he'll be wearing 15k aero Marhan's Grotto armor for the next two years. I would probably take the 1.5k aeromancer Tyrian armor over the two leaked armors.
Also, in the first pic in the photobucket...second from right, is that an Ele or a Ranger?

I like that Assassin armor, the chest piece makes him look a bit more bulky and not just some skinny piece of twig.

I wasn't flaming, at all. I was just asking what you were expecting, they've pretty much covered every idea there is. Prophecies had the basic what you'd expect for each profession. Check the official wiki page, and specifically the component shot of the chest from the back.... now look at her right leg. Thats some major clipping right there....

I would much rather have Sif Shadowhunter's armor for my female ranger. Honestly, that almost rivals Saidra's armor for well-designed.

So far, in my standard, Male Elementalist Armor in Gwen aren't as impressive as Elite Ice-Forge or Elite Kurzick, Elite Vabbi etc.
I guess afterall it's only an expension... probably shouldn't expect too much from it.

"# 40 new armor sets (4 per profession), as well as a number of non-set, non-profession specific armor pieces. "
That means..we have 3 hother armor sets per profession that we havent seen yet...so hopefully they wont be disappointing
