I'll be honest... I'm bored of GW gameplay in general. I've gotten used to how all of the classes play and have had my fill of GW style combat (3000+ hours over the last two years). However, GWEN has totally impressed me with the quest system. I have yet to play one quest that I didn't think was freakishly cool! They make the experience seem fresh all over again!

Reasons:
1. Many quests feel more like missions than quests
2. There is a REAL story behind quest chains.
3. There are GOOD rewards for completing quests

If GW2 improves on this system... I can't even imagine lol.

Well done ANet! You've guaranteed that I'll buy this game

Well done ANet! You've guaranteed that I'll buy this game I can definetly agree. Even some quests that just tell you to "Kill a certain person" (Like that one dervish hero quest), they don't tell you where exactly he is. You have to look for him yourself. I also like the solo quests, which aren't that hard at all because anyone can beat them with the right builds. A fun quest I like is the one where you drink the norn keg and then drop off 5 barrels near a point and then put like 5 pigs into the pen. And you get the skill that gives you +xxx hp if your drunk xD

I insanely loved the early Kilroy Stonekin quests, beating hell out of about 100 stone summit with boxing skills while some of them shout "let's get out of here; I still owe him money!" is just classic.

Definately buying this on release.

This is actually a big dissapointment for me. Ive never been into quests. And this is ALL quests and so LONG. If this is how all of GWEN is going to be im going to regret getting it.

I'm loving these quests, they're much more original and far more enjoyable. I never particulary enjoyed doing quests in the previous games, and only really did the primary ones, but here I've been doing everything I can find. And what's best, you get decent rewards.

Yeah, when I guildie told me I had to search for the quest enemies I thought it would suck but I find it really fun. Also finding out how to do the last boss in Worthy Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) took a long time but it was super awesome when I got it. Not gonna spoil it for others here

What does it matter, whether they are called missions or quests? you're loaded into your own instance once you've started it, and it takes a while.

On topic. I am also really psyched over the new system, it's really cool and it reminded me what GW is supposed to be about.

After doing the Cantha quests countless times to level my characters, I figured I'd never want to do another quest again. But the quests in EoTN are refreshing. Very different, and a nice change from the Cantha/Elona quests. I actually WANT to do the quests, partly for the worthwhile rewards (Powerstone of Courage? HELL yes!).

I agree fully. Since Prophecies, I've felt that the quests were more like errands. I love these new quests - they really draw you in and add some humor in as well.

Well done A-Net!

Yeah, the new quests are awesome. I very much like the fact that it finally gives worthy rewards for completing them. Great job ANet! It makes questing interesting again.

Many quests feel more like missions than quests Well, some of them are missions. You get the nice little graphic after you complete them. Also there's a nifty icon that gets placed on your world map after completion. These missions do have a very quest like feel and don't break up the game like in the 3 campaigns.

The storyline has been excellent and it all flows very well. I love the explorable area maps, I find them very interesting to hunt in.

And finally, grinding for reputation doesn't feel like like a grind because the more you kill things the faster paced your gains become. Getting rewarded for your time spent hunting is a great way to diminish the pain of reputation farming.

Repeatable dungeon crawl quests FTW! Great, great, great, great idea.

The eyes of many puppies were spared in the making of this game.

Oh yeah, and the random, bumping-into-Kilroy-and-going-on-a-quick-rampage questlings was also brilliant.

I greatly enjoyed this weekend. The best so far was battling Frostmaw's minions/children in a five level dungeon! I did hate seeing another level, but the atmosphere was very cool, and got creepier the deeper I got. The reward was awesome - Jora looks great with the gold Oaken Aegis (plus the diamond I got plus the 2k gold).

There was also a cave with a warning about foul beasts from the deepest pits within, and as soon as I entered the most eerie HOWL sent me running right for the door. I'll leave you to find it and what's within.

There is also that long series of quests concerning the notorious monsters on the skin-posts in an outpost. Very cool, and very Norn!

I'm impressed so far, and I hope the Dwarven, Asura and Ebon side of things is equally cool.

After 2 years of workign for everything I have we will lose alot of it. The only thing in the HoM thats worth bring over is the weapons. I want the cash and materials though.

Well I'm kinda glad I only played a little and decided to hold off now.

Why? Because reading (most of) these posts I'm really, really looking forward to it, even if the HoM was a bit disappointing.

Everything (besides some issues in the Hall of Monuments) is great.

I love the new graphics, the dungeons are amazing, the world feels more alive and the quests are more interesting.

I agree with how great the PvE of GW:EN is. After seeing how much work, effort, and attention to detail was put in it also made me sad. Just imagine if that kind of effort was also put into the competitive PvP side of the game. PvE is the bread winner though, I guess.

Everyone thought Nightfall quests/missions were good. They weren't. Hopefully the whole EotN will be good.

I would have too agree with most on this thread. There have already been a few of those "Oh $#!t!" moments. Following the bunny etc. Last night I was searching for the bosses as mentioned. I was fighting my way up a mountain pass trying to reach the other side, when all of a sudden a mob Summit Herders and henchies came over the crest of the mountain with their boss in tow. (Not the one I was looking for) I fancy myself a god, and at that moment felt a very human chill crawl up my spine.

Frostmaw's Burrow friggin' rocked! That was probably the most fun I've had this entire weekend. Anet did a great job of capturing the whole dungeon crawl experience without making it a chore like some other online RPG I won't mention. I wish I had more time to do stuff in the game, but heck it comes out end of this week. I'm sold!

Yeah! 15.000 is ay better than just 1skill point.

Some quests give 15000xp adn 1000 so they are actually giving you one skill inthe best way possible.
