I am one of the nay sayers. I could never really afford the really high end, but that makes no difference to me. I enjoyed it better in the old school days; these inscription days sure are amusing, but nothing beat the feeling of finding a req 9 15^50 fellblade, not the feeling of seeing a blue, purple, or gold max fellblade drop and thinking yourself "There comes another perfect". NF and GW:EN have enough inscriptables.

I have said it before and here it is again. What we need is for all drops to be insribable when GW:EN goes live. Then put a NPC in all the hub towns so players can insrib a old weapon for a fee. (1k I would think.) The insrcibing would make the weapon customised to that player. End of problem. LEET skins with perfect mods stay unchanged. Any old semi crappy weapons with good skins can be upgraded. And all new drops are upto date.
Hehe, good idea jeremy, too bad I made a thread about this and you said the exact same thing and so did I, and yet somehow no one has become aware of this yet? Lol, people are silly.

iono yo. it seems to be the exact opposite in that ppl who pull off tyrian perfects have a much easier tiem selling. for example, a r9 15>50 longsword is barely worth 10k, while a r9 15>50 longsword tyrian can be sold much easily. if u dont believe me, try spamming it in la and ull see. besides 15>%0 inscriptions are 3k a piece. i highly doubt that a player will frequently get those from nf items regardless.

Inscribable or non-inscribable items in factions and prophecies is basically irrelevant now that you can get super high end skins out of locked chests in GW:EN.

Once these items are common enough they'll roll out inscribable to all the campaigns, just wait.

since inscribables have been introduced hardcore collectors seem more concerned about weapon stats then skins.

id take an inscribable version of a crystalline or some other rare skin anyday over something with static stats. i like the flexability that inscribable weapons offer.

as for the op, retroactive change to weapon stats probably isnt gonna happen and people who want inscribable weapons can either buy from other players or go out and buy nf or gwen and farm them for themselves.
