Customized minipets ???!!!

I'm sure I am not alone in this, and I think this should be able to made undone.
I start playing GWEN, and finally come into the oh so mighty Hall of Monuments evereyone is talking about, and Anet is using as marketing to promote GWEN to the public.

It looks so cool, and Gwen hands you over a tapestry part. I walk to an altar and unlock the one for my minipets, COOL!
The game tells me I can add all the pets I have on me, so obviously I do.
Then sudddently I find out the pets are customized to that character, so I go back to my HoM to see if I can take them away from my altar.... nope...

So now I have all my pets all for me? Can't ever sell my pets when i'm desperately in need of money or show it off on my other characters?
OMG, where was that said when I added them to my altar?
Ofcourse you can't add your minipets to all your characters altars in the game, but to lock them on your current character?
Please Anet make it so you can take your pets away from your altar again... Or make it account based customised at least...

ya, this really sucks and needs to be changed.

Hall of Monuments MUST become account beased, otherwise the whole crap makes no sense.

When i got a minipet, then i want to keep it for all of my characters of my account, not only for a single one of my account, which means then,m that i have to buy all the minipets for every of my characters new ..

OMFG this is so bad thought out, that you as player must really believe, anets developers have lost all their brains, when u've believed before, that they even had one before.

Customized is ok, i#ve nothing against the idea making them customized, so that they don't are possible to sell to other players or to trade ...
But when i do this, i want to have following things to be done:

- once put a mini pet on altar, it will be put into HOM of every character of my ACCOUNT, and then its regardless, which of my characters puts a mini pet on altar

- once customized, they should be able to be used of all of my characters still, not only the one, that the mini pet is customized on.
When ive customized mini pet x to chara y, then i want still, that chara z of me, which the minipet is not customized to, can use my minipet too.

Every other solution means only that we have to buy loads of unneccessary mini pets again and again and due to the fact, tjhat some of them are very limited, it would mean, as long this shit gets not account based, that by far not everyone can put every minipet with every char on the altar of HOM.

I really REPLY now on the intelligence of the developers to make the HOM in kind of minipets and the other stuff account based.
it makes no sense to make all the stuff with every single character, when u unlock in the end only stuff for the main character and ur account and ur future account of GW2

When I fiddled with the altar, it said it would be customized to my toon so I said, um, no thanks. I realize that the HoM is supposed to be immortalizing a single toon, but the mini pet thing could be account based with maybe the idea that you can only register the pet once. I'd be fine with that, but DO NOT customize them. Maybe have it say Registered to So&SO instead of being Customized to So&So

Account based I can see.. but putting things in the HoM (minis, weapons) and then being able to sell them? That's stupid. And if you want that, it should remove it from your Hall. It make no sense to have an eternal monument to things you gave away.

I think it's great that minis are now being bound to you. It will make minis worth more and make them more personal.

bah, when I put on my Luxon 15k monk armour two statues come up. THE MALE ONE is wearing the luxon 15k, (my toon's female) and he's standing next to some warrior chick in ugly looking spiky armour. I've never played a warrior in my life!!!! WTF? It looks terrible, and it didnt' even immortalize MY armour.

I had no idea the HoM wasn't account based. It just makes more sense. Given that we don't have armour storage, where are we meant to put multiple ascended armour sets? Where are we meant to put the minis? I just want one hall that's account based. I feel really let down.

I'm upset about a lot of things with the HoM, but the mini-pets thing doesn't bother me, it seems fine. It does warn you, very clearly, that recording your mini-pets will customise them, making them unusable by anyone else. And really, there's no other way it could be done, without it allowing people to trade them around to fill up your hall.

I also don't understand why everyone wants this to be account based.. I for one like it the way it is. When I get Guild Wars 2, I know for sure I won't be playing as one single character and I like the fact my new GW2 Warrior will be able to continue from my GW1 Warrior, and my new Charr Ranger can continue from my current Ranger, etc. If it were account based, then only one of my characters in GW2 would gain any benefits.
