i'm new to the ranger and i was wondering what's the difference between the flatbow and the shortbow??

flatbow is a longer range, apporximately the range of a longbow, and the flight time is LONG, a shortbow is a shorter range, just within the aggro bubble and is ideal for intterupts in closed quarters when not using a recurve.

You can actually hit stuff with a Shortbow without needing Reat the Wind/Favourable Winds.
