Boxing weapon question

Has anyone tested which weapons you can use for dwarven boxing ?

The brass knuckels you receive by default look like daggers to me.
The reward from one of the quests is a pair of daggers as well.
Does that mean I can use other daggers instead of the knuckels ?
Can I use a scyther or a sword + shield or any other melee setup ?
Or can I use just the brass knuckels ?

Well, I can't answer all of your questions, but I do know that you can use the gold Brass Knuckles (daggers) instead of the standard ones. You'll even do more damage that way.

you have to use either the 5-5 dmg brass knuckles or the gold ones you get given, which do 1 more dmg over the 5-5 ones.

I tried Darkroot Daggers and they worked for me.

It seems they are just daggers.

I used the gold ones and specced 12 into dagger mastery with a "Brawns over Brains" inscription and did much more than +1 damage. I was hitting 15 damage with the spammable 10 damage attack and I hit 96 damage with the 80 damage dual attack.

Unfortunately the inscription didn't lower my max energy
