What are PUG's?

Im sorry if thats a noob question, but i just dont know. I might know what it means, but i might have never heard that phrase, and its used a lot in these forums. So if anyone could plz just tell me what they are.
(And plz dont call me noob, im lvl 20 and i have plenty of experience with that game, i just dont know what it means, i think it means Pick Up Group, meaning Random Party, but could u plz just clarify it)

PUG = Pick Up Group. A pug is basically a group of random people you've picked up from an outpost to do a mission/quest/farm.

belongs in newcomer section but PUG=Pick UP Group

grouping with strangers that more times than not will be
- bossy
- draw genitalia on the compass map
- quit on you
- AFK on you

I enjoy PUGs but have had more bad experiences than good experiences

A PUG is what I've stayed away from since I got Nightfall...

PUG's are an unnessary evil in Guild Wars that no one should have to deal with.

They're groups made by the devil. Avoid them at all costs. Got a group of friends? By all means, join them. Friends not far enough/not interested in the game? Hench/heroes if possible.

Something you will learn to avoid like the plague.
There's rarely a time when Pick Up Groups (pug) can do something better than me with hench/hero.

PUGs may or may not contain people who will cause aggravation. In my experiece, it happens less than the above posters would like to believe. But then again, I play a PvE Mesmer, and PUGs that accept them are generally much better than ones that don't.

PUGs really are horrible. If you're in a good guild...you should first call upon them, then move onto a hench/hero team, if that fails...you be the leader of a PUG and create a well balanced group. Good Luck.

lmao so true. I also wasn't sure as to what PUG meant, though 99% of my co-op I now know is PUGed.
