Changed Chat Bars

I would like a change to be held for the Chat Bars. Like Guild.Alliance.Local.Trade.Emotes.and Team.

New changes/Bars

Local: Local chat would be used for Local chatting only, nothing else. No guild recruitment/trades Ext. (See Below)

Recruitment Tab: The recruitment tab would be used for recruiting for guilds and alliances.

Guild Chat: Guild chat would stay the same. A way to talk to all members/officers/and the leader.

Officer Chat: Officer chat would be a way for the officers and leader to talk to each other without pming or being in a team. Members would not be allowed to hear or participate in this conversation.

Trade: Trade chat would be the same. Trading With people in your district.

Emotes: Emotes would be the same.

Alliance: Alliance chat would be the same except. When a leader is talking in alliance chat he has an [L] beside his name. When an officer is talking they have a [O] Beside their name. When a member is talking they have a [M] beside their name. Also, when the Alliance Leader talks he has a [AL] beside his name.

Oh please implement a guild tab. I applaud Anet for getting the insane amounts of spam out of Ascalon City, Lion's Arch, etc., but the guild scrubs are still there and just as persistent.

I like the idea of a buy/sell too, but I doubt we'll ever see that brought to light.

The one thing that could easily be done here is adding leader/officer/member tags to guild/alliance chat. This I would like to see, it'd make alliance intercommunication much clearer. Officer chat I don't think is necessary, but would be nice.

Yea, We just need more opinions and this may get looked at by someone that works for ANET. But, yea, I think the leader/officer/member tags in Ally chat will make things tons easier. Sometimes in alliance chat people say they are officer and they arn't. It would really clear things up for alliance chat. Yea, and the recruitment tab would be helpful to clear up local some more.

I think it would be pretty cool for these changes to be implemented, hopefully could cut down on some of the spam in Local chat. The whole guild/alliance thing sounds good too that way we can tell who the officers and leaders are.

If its workable i'm all for it.

The removal of spamming messages needs to be addressed in some way and more options/filters might well be the way forward.

After the changes to chat it was so nice to be able to have a conversation in local of a town.... however it has gotten to the point where in the place of wts/wtb guild recruiters feel the need to fill the gap by sending 10 times as many recruitment messages. So yeah recruitment channel would be really nice, even if it was town specific as i doubt a global one would be possible.

Well, all chat filters work the same, all clients get the info, each string is sent with a 'type token' and you tell the client which lines to filter.

So I bet this is possible with not much effort. Just adding more 'type tokens'.

A few changes in the clients to filter them.

Admittedly I've been guilty of Spamming for the trade channel to sell things, only due in part to the fact there's plenty of spamming goign on, and my post is eaten up within seconds.

However..

I would love to see the WTB/WTS sub tabs for the Trade window. This could easily be changed just with a simple emote tag of

/trade
/sell
/buy

More than likely the ability to be able to color code these things, thus making it easier for people to get/buy/sell what they need to do.

I also think that having officer chat channels would be a very good thing, only due in part to the fact that not all guilds have forums and not all guilds have teamspeak/vent in which to hold such conversations, and having to play messenger/pm tag with several people can be annoying.

Once again they could perhaps do the emote flag of

/officer whilst typing in the guild tab and only officers and guild leader could see it.

Having a simple recruitment tab for guilds recruiting would be awesome in my opinion, and moving them to the search of it's OWN accord instead of plain white text, where in which it spams everyone would work the best - so that way people can know what the heck is goign on, what needs to be done, adn the morass of

We'll Pay you to Farm!!!

etc etc wouldn't get in the way.

Also in this same vein, I know several online games have it, I dunno if it's 3 party client or what - but an ability to use the friends list in a messenger sort of way, so that way you don't have to constantly go sorting through your text box to find the pm's you were sent whilst trying not to die during a mission.

Hey, trade, buy and sell could share the trade tab.

You just need to add checkboxes to hide and show different lines, like we do with the Emotes, that use other channel, but can be hidden anyway.

Love the idea of a guild recruitment tab and individual buying/selling tab, just to ease up the trade one. Officer chat would be awesome too.
