I sincerely hope the HoM is a work in progress. I also hope that PvE titles displayed are account based, so any character you make in GW2 can spawn a heritage that's been earned by a character in GW1.
However, while the PC Gamer article gives me some confidence in the first point I not hopeful about the account based stuff.
On a side note, the 'quests' you do to build up your HoM could be referring to the allegiance quests you do with Norn, Asura, Ebon etc. At the end of Norn one you get a tapsetry for instance. I doubt they'll be quests to create entirely new monuments.
PvE titles in the Hall of Monuments...

We will just have to wait a few more days and see what they decided to change in HoM.

It does show titles, and it's the the one with the blue water background.
It does show if you beat all 3 games and earned Kind of a Big Deal.
The button then flips to the pvp titles.
I'm content with showing you beat each chapter and earned 5 max other titles (showing as one title).

Here is my opinion: Making titles able to pass on to GW2 is nice, but severly limiting which titles are eligible and further limiting eligible titles to super-high-rank PvP titles makes people feel left out and pissed off. Remember limiting the Urgoz and Deep mission access to 1000 people, or .05% of the playerbase, and how mad people were by being excluded from it? Please keep that example in mind and make the Monument of Honor more accessible to the playerbase, it will go a long way in building customer loyalty for GW2.

Amen brotha!
Seriously - this makes complete sense. ANet - please throw us hardcore PVE'rs a bone on this one. Give us some kind of tropy to show in our hall - as it is now I will never have anything to display on my Honor monument despite playing hardcore for 2+ years! And no I don't think the current 'crammed up text you must click on to even read' will do!
However, if we just have to bite the bullet here I can live with that - I just find it hard to believe that this was how the HoM was intended...

The HoM should more allow PvE titles to be displayed.
Cause my first action after seeing that all that PvE title effort down the drain really made my blood boils big time. Then angers sets in filling the void and finally wanted to starts pointing finger at PvPer and Anet.
This is just how i feel right now and don't think finger pointing to PvPer or Anet will change anything.
Just saying HoM design needed a change
Only wanted fairness for PvEer who really spend alot of time and effort in get their titles and only to be slap in the face like this.
Even if those PvE Titles Unlock a Bison Cup in GW1 and not in GW2 i will be happy
