Previous Campaign Dungeons

Proposal: Dungeon Suggestions
Suggestion 1: New Content for Old Campaigns
Each of the 3 previous campaigns would receive one dungeon. The dungeon would be somewhere on the continent, but Anet should not tell us where it is, that way we would need to explore around to find it. (would not take long for someone to find it and post it here...look at the moa egg, volcanic rock, etc. and how fast people found them.
Suggestion 2: Indoor, man-made dungeons.
I know, the game isn't out yet, but somehow my mind cannot fathom EotN having many non-cave dungeons. So the suggestion is that we would have dungeons that resemble indoor areas. Taking Diablo 2 for example, areas such as the Flayer Dungeon, Woldstone Keep, Monastery Catacombs etc. Man-made underground areas with relative rooms, hallways, and chambers.
Suggestion 3: Chest Reward for Final Assault
Sorrow's Furnace is practically like a dungeon itself, and a good one at that. Instead of having the basic quest reward for completing the quest, have a chest appear when you defeat the final boss just like the EotN dungeons have.
I know that Anet CAN add content to the older games such as this, and for any of you who have played the same amount as i have, have seen when they added Sorrow's Furnace to the game originally. Adding dungeons would actually be easier since it would not take up an area on the map (although each of the 3 campaigns have a TON of map area that can be used) just an entrance in an already existing explorable area, that leads to a new dungeon.

I saw an interesting thing on Seitung Island while I was scraping the Bluffs.
There's that town on the north side we don't have access to.
I saw a tunnel entrance at the base of the cliff and the first thing I thought was:
Wouldn't it be cool if that mine entrance led to a dungeon.

Here's what I see:
ALREADY EXISTING CONTENT.
- Pre-Searing:
*Catacombs. Put dungeon entrace maps markers there. Make the warrior boss in there harder. Killing the boss makes a small chest appears. The chest may contain crappy stuff, like 50 piles of bone, iron, a purple drop, etc...
- Tyria:
*Sorrow's Furnace. Make so when you defeat the djinns, a chests appears. The first time the drop may be better(gems, a green etc...), the rest of the times, since you can repeat it directly instead of having to make all quests again, would be less good.
*Tombs of the kings. Another dungeon. Add a final chest after defeating the Darknesses.
- Factions:
*Urgoz and The Deep: They already have final chests.
- Nightfall:
*Angish realms: They already have final chests.
POSSIBLE NEW CONTENT:
- Tyria:
*Ruins of Orr.
*Closed Doors leading nowhere in Shiverpeaks.
- Factions: Doors leading nowhere:
*Kinya Province, at the north.
*Kaineng City: Many holes in the ground.
*Tahnnakai Temple: Door at the east wall.
*Echovald forest, compass rose in Arborstone
- Nightfall
*Mehtani Keys ancient temple.
*Door leading nowhere in Barbarous Shore.
*Cracked door in Forum Highlands.
*Area out of reach in Poisoned Outcrops.

It'd be an awesome dungeon.
The Lurch
Yeah, /signed, especially for adding a chest for tombs...dont make the Darknesses drop the greens, make the CHEST drop em...please...and since it isnt really that easy (IMO) three items each, however only 1 green per player (i would open a chest, get a green, maybe a diamond and an unid purple/gold for instance)
MithranArkanere
Ah! And reopen the Catacombs! Reopen theeeeem! >_<
We wantz kat-uh-kohmzzz vackkk!!!!!1111 (Remember, kids, the 1 are very important for shouts.)
They could add another entrance, instead the closed one in Sardelac.

absolutly signed.
And Anet can use this direct, to give those maps new areas on places, that were before untravelable.
Would be awesome, because Anet must come away of their noobish kind of creating worlds, creating huge maps, where then only like 40% of those maps are travelable.
with this they can hit 2 flys with 1 clap, give the game more nice big content , enlarging the areas of unused map parts making them travelable and giving the players so maybe some little bonus areas, which maybe will help then a bit getting the explorer titles. (players which try to find for months grinding for the last 1%) will be very glad for this sure on any map/campaign)
GW needs more really high end dungeons, those dungeons we've seen in SPE were a bad joke, absolutle too small, too cheap and mostly ever they were only caves.
yeas, i really agree, GW needs man made dungeons too, things like
buildings like:
* sanctuaries
* castles
* temples
* ruins
* towers
* pyramids
* shrines
- forests (maze)
- mountains
ect ect. not everything needs ever to be a cave to be a dungeon.
look simple to offline rpgs's/adventures on consoles..
games like Zelda or Alundra, which are imo the 2 best action adventure games with best dungeons ever in console history in kind of solo gameplay dungeons, what GW needs too imo ..
Players should play certain dungeons as party, but there shoukld also exist solo dungeons, which the player has in GW2 later to play in Zelda/Alundra Style. with very much of difficult riddles and traps.
U can take in for inspiration even the prince of persia series ... for good dungeons in kind of traps especially.
I'd imo really wish to have as NF dungeon for example a huge tower like TREE, called the "Life Tree" or "Yggdrasill" to give this tree a special known name.
This tree would be so huge, that it would have for example 15 stages o far more so that it is a really elite-dungeon that takes time to make, but when u make it then really to the end and kill the boss, loot will be awesome naturally.
u receive then not only like 2 diamonds and 1 gold item ..
no, u would receive then a nice sum of money, a part of an epic weapon, where u have to collect like 3 or more parts, until a special npc can forge out of them an epic weapon for you, that is pve only, which the play can NAME.
or u can receive epic armor parts to forge out of them epic armor stuff for one of ur body parts.
or u receive epic magical artefacts, which care pve only too, and give you certain buffs, as long as your character eqips them.
(for this, the character menu needs more slots for stuff like
-rings (up to 5 on your defense arm, on weapon arms is a glove, so rings are impossible there)
-amulets
-necklaces
-bracelets
-gloves
-boots/shoes
-belts
-earrings
-tiaras
-capes (the way to receive finally personal capes)
such stuff u'll get then, when making elite dungeons which will be then only obtainable, once u've played through at least 1 campaign.
At each elite-dungeon players will be able to make then different epic weapons/armors/artefacts.
Suggestions for more Dungeons:
-Temple of Balthazar (PvP Dungeon)*Mass Slaughter wohooo
-Temple of Dwayna and the other gods, each gets his own temple (except stupid NF bi*ch, which hasn't deserved it to become a god)
- as said : the big Life Tree Yggdrasill for NF or for GW:EN area
- Burning Phoenix Tears (erupting Volcano with huge lava lake and raining huge meteor showers, when this big volcano erupts, which are seeable in the background then, which will look like as if apocalypse is coming. armageddon like meteorite rains with explosions ^^ woooot)
- Town of the Forgotten (Ruins)
- Mystical Fairy Forest (maze) (i realy hope, faries wil become playable race later in GW or something that looks similar to a cute flying litle fairy (pixie)
- Bone Dragon Bog
- Graveyard of the Toy Pets
- Pyramid of Amon Ra Osiris (maze)
- Mt. Ice Burn (T)
- Mt. Sun Glow (N)
- Mt. Dragon Soul (F)
there are lots of possible dungeons, id really too to have for example too a play to explore the underwaters of GW or the nearer sky ...
that are place to ,where dungeons , whole new ares and towns including new races could exist. Id like to see later for GW(2) something themed inspired for example to Atlantis. Why must everything be ever on continents ?
Why not make something, in the unterwater or in the sky with flying kingdoms on floating isles, a bit ispired by the game "skies of arcadia".
would be a nice way to inctroduce in to GW2 maybe a kind of air ships ^^
ahh *must stop dreaming* ^^ when i start dreaming, i get ever so quick offtopic and write long novels

Due to the cartographer title, adding more "Grenth's Footprint" like updates bacame a bit of an issue. Dungeons are a perfect fix for that. You can add a dungeon entrence to an existing explorable, thus not effecting anyones already completed cart title.

we need more content from already existing campaigns...that is about the jist of my suggestions :P
Alot of good ideas though....the combining several weapon pieces to create a fully customizable weapon for yourself (maybe you would even be able to choose what the hilt, blade, guard etc. would look like if you were to make a sword)
