Here is a idea I had for a new dye "overcoating". After you dye your weapon/shield/armor, you then pucrchase a "Prismatic Coating" similar to the Iridescent Aegis effect.
On some colors, like white, you would get the full color spectrum sheen while other colors would not have the whole spectrum. Like if you dye your sheild or armor blue as you turn it changes to dark blue/dark purple/ purple.
And white would go across all colors as the viewing angle changes.
The basic dye that you had applyed before is still there and effects the way the "Prismatic Coating" behaves.
You could even have it give some type of armor bonus when applied to Armor.
It could be sold at a merchant or given away as a reward.
New Dye Idea: Prismatic Coating

Well, a dye that gives bonus is definitely a no.
The prismatic dye could be an option, but something very rare like black dye, I would say.

A dye armor bonus doesn't sound right to me. But i do like the rest of the idea. The dye would have a shimmer effect to it right? As far as the value of it I would say if its made so theres a "overcoating" then it should go on a color basis. Have black and then black "overcoating" or shimmer dye. But if its one dye to create this effect, no matter the color, then I think it should be a set price and sold from a murchant.

I will agree with any new appearacne changes, but NOT to dyes giving bonuses.

I have another idea, "Clear Coating" or "Polish"
