To be a bit more clear. When you put a run on it, say a Major healing rune. It will turn from Items attribute to healing prayers +1. So on the helm you will have Healing Prayers +1 and the +2 from the rune. Same goes for if you put a Prot rune on it, the helm will turn into a Prot helm.

Quick comment

A lot of people put the main attribute for their build on their head piece (because of the +1 bonus on the headpiece) and then they just change head pieces when they change builds.

But, if there is a build you just want to try out and you don't have a head piece for it, it costs at least 1k to get a new one plus rune/insignia.

With a +1 to the attribute headpiece like the crown, you can try out a new build for just the cost of the rune. Then, if you don't like it, you haven't wasted as much money.

And, with the new perfect salvage kits which remove runes and insignias without destroying the crown you could play as many builds as you want with just the crown and continually switch runes/insignias back and forth (which switches the +1 attribute on the crown) without risking any cash at all except for the initial cast to buy the runes in the beginning.

So, all in all, I really think that crown was worth beating up Magni 6 times to get.

The downside, of course, is that you constantly look like you just bought the kiddies meal at Burger King.
