Endgame Boss Suggestion
Dervish Warrior
In nightfall there was the boss Abaddon, but seeing as some of the names come from "The Infernal Names" for endgame bosses... why not choose one of these for guildwars 2, or one of its expansions:
Zacre: Ruler of darkness and chaos within the next world, son of Abaddon
Zarka - Daughter of Zacre and sister of Abaddon, overseer of the mortal world
Could go with a nice storyline?
Abaddon's brother and sister wanting revenge, maybe even twisting it so Abaddon is still alive and wants help to over-rule the people, and spread fear to everyone once again, of course you would have to be there to stop him
well.... looking forward to GW2, even though we loose 90% of our items

Well the storyline to Guild Wars could be a little better, I'd say. In prophecies, you're going from region to region not really even knowing why until the end, when apparently, you were chasing the guy who destroyed pre-searing Ascalon the whole time. I guess I'd buy the fact that you were 'destined' to fulfill a prophecy, but it didn't have to make the storyline completely random and hard to follow.

I think they had redneck roots, if you know what I mean.

Bad idea... I'm sure that the devs have a much better plot idea than this... lets see Abbadon is the Nightfall boss who was helped by Menzies (the lord of destruction) and Dhuum (previous god of the UW).... we know that we fight the great destroyer in EotN (great destroyer = Menzies, lord of destruction... duh) so perhaps a more educated less retarded guess would be that the primary antagonist in GW2 is going to be Dhuum....

Apparently evil's family tree does not fork.
On a serious note: Weve been told the plot of GW:EN is a sort of intro to GW2. My guess is that the Great Destroyer is the great enemy of the gods. Tyria is NOT the first world the gods created, mearly the latest of many. As they create worlds the Great Destroyer...destroys them. At the end of EotN we will defeat him but not kill him, just as the Great Dwarf did. The Great Destroyer will rise again.....

The sequel takes place hundreds of years later...the major enemy commands an army of monsters...and is a dark entity sealed away by an entity of light? Obviously the Great Destroyer is Dark Force!
Although in all honesty, I can't see how this next chapter could have a more important enemy than an evil god, unless it's a bigger and eviler god, or several lesser gods. In that sense, I don't think the OP is too far off, although I hope it can still be more compelling than a rehash of Nightfall's plot.

The three gods that we know were conspiring together were Abbadon (we defeated in NF), Menzies (we will defeat in EotN), and Dhuum. (Now getting back to the OP) Which means the logical next step is us fighting Dhuum in GW2 (+/- him bringing back Abbadon and/or Menzies to help him). Additionally it has been stated that our world is not the only one so Menzies (or others) could have attempted to destroy/destroyed other worlds in the past as you hypothesized. In any case if you would like to make a friendly wager bet on if the end game boss of EotN is or is not Menzies I will happily bet you that The Great Destroyer = Menzies, Lord of Destruction.

But I like this little debate we are having. Im willing to place a friendly wager. How bout 5k?
The Great Destroyer IS Menzies = You win.
The Great Destroyer IS NOT Menzies = I win.
You game?

Hehe, this is what I want to see...for GW2
In 250 years a planet and its inhabitants can accelerate in technology and education very fast. And the Asura are already very advanced. I'd like to see (since we hypothisize their are other worlds out there, remember, there is no PROOF, or at least none that I know of) And lets say whats happening in Tyria right now is happening as we speak (im keeping it fictional) Maybe in GW2 Earth and Tyria could meet? Huh? Huh?
yeah i know it retarded. But it would be kinda interesting
