Is attack skill damage armour ignoring or not ?
Or is it sometimes sometimes not depending on the skill and you can figure it out by the wording ? Does this work the same way for all attacking types ?
f.e. Cleave, a well known axe elite "does +10...xx damage".
Is that damage linked to your axe's damage type (physical/elemental) or is it armour ignoring ?
While Headbutt lists your "target takes xx damage". Headbutt I believ to be armour ignoring, but it's not an attack, it's a touch skill, so that is not the info I'm after.

All the +X damage is armor ignoring (aside spells, unless it says so).
When reading the description you have to be careful (like a lawyer). It will tell you what kind of damage it deal. When it does not specify what kind of damage it deal (ex: target foe take XX lightning damage), it usually mean armor ignoring.
While dark and holy SPELLS tend to do armor ignoring damage, thou the type itself doesn't actually ignore armor (like wand/staff).

Thanks for the reply.
That means there is a lot more armour ignoring damage than I have allways presumed.

That means having high health is better than having high armor. People seem to forget this when I say you should run 600hp or more on a sin.

I just verified it for myself.
I used a starter sword, and 12 swordmanship.
Standing slash did add the same +damage when hitting the 100 armour dummy as when hitting the 60 armour dummy. (Base damege being allmost nill makes it easy to verify.)
