I'd like some thoughts about my so-far functional build.

Well, this is my current Dervish-build. PVE
It works for me so far.
It's a Dervish/Warrior.
12+1+3 Scythe Mastery
12 Mysticism
3 Earth Prayers
Will add more runes later, it's not an emergency at the moment.
Any thoughts about it?
I'm going to add Mystic Regeneration, but I haven't reached that skilltrainer yet.

[skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill]
[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill]
[skill]Wild Blow[/skill]
1[skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill]/2[skill]Zealous Renewal[/skill]
[skill]Eternal Aura[/skill]
[skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill]
1[skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill]/2[skill]Avatar of Dwayna[/skill]
[skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

3 attackskills for dps and quick hits. (Wild Blow cancels stances for those pesky rangers.)
Eternal Aura for a small AoE, and Avatar/Attackskill recharger.
Faithful Intervention = Constant enchantment and selfheal.

There are two sets of skills I usually switch between.
The first one if for dps.
The second one if for survivability.
AoL gives a lot of extra dps, Mystic Vigor is just something to throw in for a small heal. Will switch out Mystic Vigor for Mystic Regeneration when I get it.
The second set, with AoD is based on hpgain. The three attackskills should keep your head above the water with lots of heals. Though the downside with this avatarset is the lack of energy. Therefor=Zealous Renewal.

That's how my build works at the moment.
It .. works.. ^^
Any thoughts on it?

I would put watchful instead of faithful. I only go with faith when I want to just be enchanted for the sake of it (for skills like [wiki]dwayna's touch[/wiki] and such). Watchful heals for more, has a better trigger criteria (the lower the better), and can be cast on others.

Looks pretty ok otherwise. Can never go wrong with lyssa+eremite's/mystic sweep. I would maaaybe consider making wild blow a "flexible" slot, and only bring it when you need it. [wiki]protector's strike[/wiki] is a popular skill to go with lyssa along with eremite's/mystic.

well... maybe the sunspear rebirth signet would be better since it's for pve.

maybe victorious sweep?

I usually use
[skill]victorious sweep[/skill]
[skill]chilling victory[/skill]
[skill]Attackers Insight[/skill] (5 wind gives 2 attacks at minus 10E, 2 free chilling if timed with aura :P )
[skill]zealous renewal[/skill]
[skill]Eternal Aura[/skill]
[skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill]
[skill]Avatar of Dwayna[/skill]
[skill]Rebirth[/skill]

very spammable healing, usually no energy problems to speak of as long as you let zealous renewal wear off for the extra boost.

I've been thinking about a dagger build though, with heart of fury, zealous renewal and mystic vigor for some super fast stuff... might work better on assassin primary though

oor maybe something like this

[skill]jagged strike[/skill]
[skill]wild strike[/skill]
[skill]death blossom[/skill]
[skill]zealous renewal[/skill]
[skill]Eternal Aura[/skill]
[skill]heart of fury[/skill]
[skill]Avatar of Dwayna[/skill]
[skill]sunspear rebirth signet[/skill] works great with my rank nearly 8

zealous renewal+eternal+blossom to soften up your next target, and as the IAS will stay up most of the time with aura you'll gain lots of energy back if you let holy flame expire before you recast it

12 dagger
15 myst
rest in whatever utility skill attribute is used or myst otherwise

prolly zealous daggers (lucky for me I took ceremonial when I finished factions with my sin, and didn't customice them)

just throwing some of my ideas out there, maybe you'll find some inspiration or something :P

With Eternal Aura, Mysticism need not be beyond 10, max is 12. Earth Prayers and Scythe Mastery is where it's at,imo. Think of [skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill] as an alternate to keep energy up alot as well. Makes for awesome energy managment in a long fight.

Cheating tip: If you take a 4 man team into the training arena, you can earn 1k in balthazar faction and unlock mystic regeneration. Works when you don't have a skill and won't see it for a long time coming.

Shh! Keep that between you and me!

lol... I meant to put that cheating tip in my post to... if you unlock the skill with balth faction you can buy it from certain skill trainers or use a tome.

lyssas assault isn't that good though... it only does 21dam every 8 sec, and only gives a few points of E... and you need to have 10E to use it... if you have 10E you may as well cast zealous renewal and keep attacking with some more powerfull, lower cost attacks, then reap the benefits after 20 sec, or use signet of pious light for a heal and some energy.

also remember that you can cast zealous when you have high energy, then fight a bit and gain a boost when you need it in the middle of the fight.

The only use I've found for lyssa's assault is if I'm running a wind build with energy management problems. It works pretty well if you're getting 2-3 hits out of [wiki]attacker's insight[/wiki] "out of the box".

Lyssa's Assault isn't about damage as much as it's about damage+energy. Don't dismiss it, since high Criticals will make that +21 seem like it was worth it. Also, the cost of the skill is rather irrelevant since the attack gives back the energy it cost, making it "free" while enchanted.

Every dervish is enchanted for the most part.

sure, you get it back, but you have to have enough to cast it to get that cost back, so you can't use it to gain energy when you actually need energy...
unless you do like MrFuzzles said and use attackers insight, that could work pretty well :P
