Our small PvE-oriented guild, Priests of Eris [PoE], is recruiting friendly people who don't take themselves too seriously, and like a little chaos once in a while.
What you get: Scenic getaway at Wizard's Isle guild hall with most of the amenities.
Luxurious cape is quartered green and grey with a Celtic knot and therefore does not look like everyone else's, without featuring a beaver or a flying pig.
Exclusive access to the Green Channel of Chaos and the Gold Channel of Madness. We pride ourselves on being somewhat out of the ordinary. Expect anything and everything to be fodder for chat (within PG-13 limits).
No consultation and assistance fees. We welcome people new to the game and will help as much as possible, without making fun of you because you only have 1 elite skill. We'll find other things to pick on you for. Of course, if you're Kind of a Big Deal, we won't turn you away.
NEW AND IMPROVED Kurzick Alliance, which we recently joined mainly because the other guilds in it were having way too much fun without us. The 8-guild Alliance is large enough that there should almost always be someone to taunt or bribe into doing things with you. Actually you'll probably just have to ask, but bribes of cookies and pastries never hurt.
Ventrilo capable; Alliance has Teamspeak. While this is nice for coordination, it's also really fun to seamlessly make fun of things with the insane people in your party without having to type. You may be exposed to random singing, mostly not good.
Occasional murder for fun. We're messing around with PvP, but we'll never take it too seriously. Mostly GvG scrimmages (because it's fun to slaughter your friends) and AB (because there's goodies for faction). Please realize we're mostly goofing off here, but if you're a strategy guru you're welcome to come along, just so we can beat up RoMS better. Who knows, if we ever stop sucking we might try some serious GvG.
Friendly, laid-back guild members:multi-campaign and GW:EN
experienced, but not overly serious
usually very willing to help
mostly EST and CST, with a few GMT time zones and some who work nights so are on at odd hours
A caveat here: We ARE laid back. If you're looking for someone to relentlessly pursue some title with, you might consider looking elsewhere. We'll never control a Factions town. You'll never see our name scrolling across your screen because we won a battle in the Hall of Heroes. But we have more fun than those people who think games should be a lot of work. If we wanted to work we'd play WoW.
No physical exam required, and no tithing. We're not looking to convert you or sell you anything, and don't require you to donate faction or items. We like active people but we suspect that you just might have a life, too, so we don't kick people out because they got distracted by Real Life for a while.
Dessert. Golden apple pie, as a matter of fact. If you don't get the reference, brush up on your mythology. Or as our guild leader would say, consult your pineal gland.
What we need from you: Friendliness. We like people who talk on guild & alliance chan. We do ask that you keep language and content to PG-13. We're not too particularly into cliques, drama or politics, either. Sense of humor a huge bonus. In fact, if you haven't got one, you probably won't enjoy PoE.
A little intelligence, and a small dose of patience. Thou shalt not leet-speak unless thou art goofing off on occasion. Thou shalt not charge into battle until thy team members have loaded. Ultimately, though, these are requests, not rules, despite how I phrased them.
Willingness to play the game. Our philosophy: if you want it, play the game to get it. If you're looking to have someone run your level 4 character to get 15k armor... well, we're not that cool. And while we are ALWAYS happy to help with missions, item farming and whatnot, begging and whining for help when people are engaged with other pursuits will be looked upon the same way we'd deal with a three-year-old doing the same thing: ignored. If it gets bad enough, we'll tell you to go play in the street, too.
Join the forums and look at them once in a while. Guild calendar under construction, but we hope to have an interactive calendar with planned guild activities at some point in the near future. The Alliance requests that guilds sponsor at least one event per month, and most of them do more than that, so the calendar there is full of planned events and is already interactive.
If you've actually read this far and you're still interested, PM Morwyn the Strong or Qiara Sun Li for more info or an invitation, or send me a message with your character's name and we'll find you. If you reply to this message please include a character name so we can contact you.
