Hardest boss to cap experiences

Maw is the only hard boss to cap, period. The Sunjiang bosses can be semi-hard to cap, but it's mostly just a matter of knowing the path to not aggro 10 mobs at once in getting to them.

All the Fire Mission bosses like Goss are very easy to cap. Beating the fort or the titans with Heroes/Hench is a cakewalk.

Not sure why so many people had a hard time with Mungri, he's a cakewalk too.

Legendary Skill Hunter mostly only shows time/money committment, not skill; since pretty much all the caps are extremely easy.

non of the elites are really HARD to cap but easily the most annoying is maw getting FoC but that only because it takes time to reach him!

My experience:
Bohdabi the Destructive (Order of Undeath)
Bazzr Dustwing (VwK)

There are harder bosses like bosses that have a chance to spawn in missions or are at the end of a mission. Or the Tyrian bosses that share a spawning point. However, when you reach them, they are easy to take down. And I think all or most mission bosses have a counterpart in an explorable area.

The 2 toughest for me on my ranger while acheiving Legendary Skill Hunter were:

Power Flux from Vision of Depair in Domain of Pain, can you say oversized group.

Onslaught from Onslaught of Terror in Nightfallen Jahai.

QFT cus henchies just love to aggro everything in that massive room ¬¬.

On top of that golden skull strike was pretty hard because mobs wander close to each other and always manage to attack together >.< .

Agreed. Along with this, the construct must have an ungodly amount of energy as he psychic distracts about EVERY spell. My paragon has Legendary skill hunter and this was the only cap that took me to 60 dp. I hate this guy. If I had a mesmer elite tome, I would have rather unlocked with Balt faction and used it on that skill.

Without a doubt.
Legendary Skill Hunter title SHOWN PROUDLY OFF!

.... that bastard monk boss that has Healer's Covenant
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Bringer_of_Deceit

Every other guy, when you buckle down and put your mind to it is actually pretty freakin easy. But man, that mofo can heal

I was worried about Consort of Ruin.
Easy.

Also think the LB title DID play a part especially because heroes share it.
So Rank 6 might have helped me blow through the guys.

The ones I found difficult were:

Mursaat Boss for Aura of Faith in the Ice Floe.
Maw the Mountain Heart for Feast of Corruption in Dreadnaught's Drift.
Abaddon's Mouth, just for the repetition when the boss doesn't spawn, sometimes 3 times in a row.

Mungri Magicbox for Boon Signet in Ferndale.

Josinq the Whisperer for Healer's Boon in Resplendent Makuun.
Master of Misery for Jagged Bones in Depths of Madness.

These bosses just caused more problems for me than any others did.

Maw the mountain heart is not that hard, just takes a long while walking.
Spindle, Plexes and Goss are kind of the same, kind of hard to reach, but not that hard, as they spawn most of the time.

Snake Dance only skills Earth Shaker and Punishing shot I capped when I was lucky. I got them both on the place closest to deldrimor war camp. It were 2 short runs and i was very happy not needing to go to the spawn place near dreads.

Mungri magicbox is one of the bosses that caused trouble to me, because of all the patrols, and he and his gardener are hard to kill, daze is a good solution. Same goes for the healer's boon Boss. Daze is needed.

Realm of Torment Bosses are hard to kill in my opinion.
I also find bosses in the frozen forest kind of hard to cap, like Virulence.
Most other bosses are easy

But seriously. Healer's Boon was a bit hard to get. I got em on the third try from changing my build from Healer to Protection to Smiting >.>

Another notable cap is the Shield of Judgement. Really. It took FOREVER to find a group and someone had the Titan Source quest active >.>

My guildies at the time helped me after I cursed out Anet on the guild chat for a while >.>

MAW I did twice once with my ranger (for the heroes) and again for my Necro to get all her spells. Was in exactly the same place both times.
Abbadons is just a pain because of the random spawns but is very easy to do with heroes and henchman, but I quite like doing PuG's there.
The Ranger one in Domain was hard because of the size of the groups, but I got his green bow there. I have capped all Rt, Ranger, Monk, Necro and Ele elites. Still have to do Paragon, Dervish, Warrior, Mesmer and Assassin. The wiki is really good when doing this.

Vision of Despair (Power Flux) in the Domain of Pain.

When I go capping, I usually don't plan ahead but just grab a cap sig and off I go with whatever is on my bar and whichever H/H I have at the time, and I always forget what a pain this boss is. Usually after a couple full-party wipes, I wish I had planned ahead better and brought different skills or a different party...especially when I haven't killed any of his group yet, but instead they are multiplying through Call to the Torment because the H/H have decided they don't want to follow my calls anymore. Anyway, he is my least favorite to cap. His group is tougher than most. Ouch.

Droajam, Mage of the Sands~For Sandstorm...don't know what it is about him but it took a few times.

Maw took 2x because she died from degen underground...learned the hard way about that little bonus (capped it about 2 years ago.)

Most Irritating Elites in Tyria, random spawns=farm code or botlike activity...ugh!

The only one that really gave me trouble was Restore Conditions from Spindle Agonyvein for my monk. I had to do that damnable mission 14 times before the boss spawned. This was before Factions even, and I went with PUG bonus groups every time. Of course, just to mock me, the boss spawned every time on all my other characters, and has spawned every single time since for my monk.

Power Block does the trick. Fortunately ol' Willa doesn't have great armour, so with all the healing skills knocked out, even for half the normal duration, she's quite easy to drop.

Maw the Mountain Heart, because of the long run in.

It was ages ago, I was capping elites for Legendary Survivor, I only had prophecies so was running a sub-par fire ele build, and obviously I had no heroes then.

It took more than an hour to fight from Camp Rankor, and when you're going for survivor every moment is tense. I had gotten to the hill just below where Maw spawns. I didn't like the look of the Ettin mobs so I thought I'd sneak into a tiny lip to right to have a closer look which still out of their aggro, or so I thought. It was then 6-8 of them charged. There was no time to get out of the lip. The constant interrupts ripped through us and most of my henchmen were dead before the Ettins took a single casualty. I logged out because I'd already lost a bunch of survivors in surprise attacks before (logging out was still still feasible in the days before reconnects), kicking myself for being stupid enough to move into a dead-end and for wasting all that time. It was 3am so even though I was mad as a frog in a sock it was too late to try again.

I went back the next day and kicked all their assess. I took a screenshot which I used as a screensaver; this only proved to my girlfriend what a geek I was.

Apologies for the ramblings, but that was the best day ever I had in GW.

PS I just had a look at the build again; seriously nubcake, no wonder it took me 2 hours to get there!

Prophecies Bosses.

It took me longer than even capping FoC from Maw to get THUNDERCLAP, as i was insanely unlucky and the guy never spawned. (Fire Island). Could have done THK and it would probably have been faster.

As many have said, I don't find any boss incredibly difficult, just time consuming. The most time consuming being Tyrian bosses with random spawns. My Mineral Springs caps took forever because the boss would always be in the last place I get to or at the spawn point farthest from the entrance to the zone. My Abaddon's Mouth caps weren't time consuming at all; nearly all the bosses spawned on the first try through the mission. I only had to redo the mission once to get a cap. The most annoying for me personally are the Mursaat/Jade bosses though. They always spawn for me near the end of a mission or a good ways into it, so mostly I went looking for them in Ice Floe. Of course, they'd spawn way away from any of the entrances to Ice Floe. I only went into a mission to cap a Mursaat/Jade skill, into RoF to cap the mes elite. The boss spawns at the final fight, but I figure it'll be fine if I just take the boss out first before the rest of the group. I even lock my heroes' target as the boss and am constantly ctrl+spacebaring to call it. Ofc, all the henches AND my heroes target the weaker enemies first anyway, and I dont get the cap. I used a nec tome to get FoC because I didn't feel like taking the time to travel all the way up to dreadnought's drift.

Only other hard caps were in NF. Healer's Boon boss in Resplendent Makuun because of the group he spawns with. Whole team (heroes+henchies+me) was at 30-45% dp before I managed to get Devona to tank the agro and kill the group. Sandstorm from The Drought was time consuming for my ele because you have to kill it before the other two elementals with him and cap his elite, aka, I had to drop all aoe+MM (QQ). Got it on the third try though.

Mungri Magicbox wasn't that difficult with a bha hero on him and rest of the team killing the other monk in the group. The Construct bosses weren't hard in the explorable area, just had to be hella careful about agro. Everything else in Factions and NF wasn't very difficult or time consuming.

#1-Maw The Mountain Heart, Feast of Corruption: Only boss with this elite and seriuosly he spawns in 6 differant maps! all random and he's a ground wurm meaning he pops out of the ground so you never know where he is and if he does come at you, you probably will not have a cap sig handy.
Lol dude i so agree. I actually capped this skill when henchmen AI wasn't that good and you actually had to use the cap after the boss uses his elite. Man that sucked

Maw is pretty easy, he always spawns in dreadnought's drift, get a hench party and fight through snake dance (its only trolls, giants and stone summit, nothing a hench party can't handle.)

really? I thought that Magicbox Dredge boss was rlly easy to kill. Personally I think all Dredges are farley easy to kill, except for the ones in Sorrow's Furnace (they seem alittile harder). A monk boss I had a super hard time with was those effing Mursaat boss, holy sht will they not die?

The most annoying boss elite cap I remember was teh guy who drops Echo in the fire islands. No heros back then, and a random spawn. Well, really, any boss on the fire island in Tyria. All random spawns, and annoying creatures with annoying builds all over the place.

Single boss wise - I say the one with sandstorm at poison outcrop.

But generally Prophecies boss are the most irritating for legendary skill hunter title. Imagine 5x Mineral Springs, 5x Hell Precipice, 5x Abaddon Mouth etc... And the boss I want to cap always turn out to be at the furthest location.

Power Block what? Willa has 4 skills and Spectral Agony. 2 Divine Favor, 1 Healing, and 1 Protection. Power Block the elite and you remove the CoP factor. However, Orison heals for a LOT even with no Aura of Faith on. Bosses have reduced hex/condition duration, so even with no CoP to remove them, they don't last long.

I can kill Willa no problem, but it takes a long time, even when I interrupt Orison with Distracting Shot.

Tarnen the Bully is also a tough one. Mainly because he has 2 Monks and some other warriors and sins with him. With all the knockdowns and Disrupting Stabs, casters are pressed hard.

Yeah I did Proph skill hunter in about 2 days, however, mineral springs seems a lot easier then it used to be way back when.. that and I got lucky with spawns. Everything else was cake.

And hardest cap..

For me it was Broad Head Arrow from the Afflicted Huan in the Vizunah Square mission. I went through that mission 11 TIMES before that bastard finally spawned. Looking back on it, in the time it took do do that I probably could've played my way down to the Boreas Seabed mission and gotten it from Daemon.

Good times.

Or from Sunjiang Explorable, iirc the boss spawns right along the path out of the city (I'm pretty sure all the Afflicted bosses spawn outside of missions somewhere)...
