The five body locations and their "crafting material percentages" are:

Head - 12.5% (1/8)
Chest - 37.5% (3/8)
Hands - 12.5% (1/8)
Legs - 25% (2/8)
Feet - 12.5% (1/8)
So the chance for a location to get hit is completely random? Or is the folklore fact? Maybe some tests have been done, but is there an official answer?

Sorry I've tried search and got nothing relevant.

It is tested and have been believe by people like the holy bible. The chest is the most hit, lower torso is 2nd. Considering that, most people would add armor to chest and torso, and add radiant/survivor/etc to arm, feet and head.

Yeah that's what I've done for a long time, then I came across that guildwiki page saying it's folklore.
