The Dual Reduction Shields

I was wondering, how many of these are around now days, like i cant even remember when they stopped dropping.

I found the Round Shield 1 and 1/2 years ago farming hydra and i bought the tower sheild 2 weeks ago for 35k (wanted a strength version you see)



but yet still

2 reduction = 2 inscriptions = still impossible

but this dropped for me the other day:



Im think this would count as dual reduction aswell? Or am i just being stupid?

But still, couldn't they make them drop again and just add reduction shield handles to make things fair for newer players? like it may had been overpowered when it was purely -2 dmg (before the update to make then -2 vs physical dmg), but now its just physical dmg.

Shields may need more available Handles.

Vs Species Handles
-2 dmg while in stance handles
-2 dmg while enchanted handles
-3 dmg while hexed handles

btw this is not a thread begging for uber leet buff to shields, im just simply stating that this is abit odd to be left alone.

i suppose on the buckler there both seen as inscriptions, but there are no inscriptions for armor against tengu.. so i dont know :S

but i do love the 2-/2- shields

I had a req8 -2/-2 Skeleton Shield. So you know, these stopped dropping when they introduced the 60/-3 shields.

hehe sweet, its funny how many people have theses even though they dont drop anymore, its like one of the few things but the unconditonal weapons that have not been removed but still drop

Those shields are not so much useful anymore. Except maybe for farming. The reduction only applies to physical damage since an update long ago, and +30 HP and +10 vs X are usually better.

I would say alot are still around. You can pick up dual reduction for any shield if you look long enough bar maybe Crude shields. They just cost alot as they rare.

I used this ones to farm outside warcamp with mellandrus resilence...

i would say its not a good idea to buy one at a high price while GW:EN is not yet implemented...

what MIGHT happen COULD piss you off. :ie removal of those stats and inscription replacement for global inscription drop.

And yeah, I used to get alot of dual reduction shields back when, but i merched them because i always favored +30 hp. Now that they only reduce physical damage, It's safe to say that they aren't too special, but rather a collectors item.

There will be plenty to be purchased/sold simply because you don't customize shields.

I've been trying to get rid of a req 10 tactics -2 stance/-2 ench Shield of the Wing since the change to reduction on shields. :/

i had a req 9 skeleton shield that was -2/-2 but pawned it off for only like 80k because i didnt need it anymore

These did get removed a long time ago and I don't see why Anet would reintroduce incribable versions of them. My favourite is this one i got 2 days ago:



Also used ot have these req7 ones but i sold for 100k+200e to a certain "monkey pwner"
