Amazon says Shipping arival Sept. 5

Pre ordered Eye of the north, late July off of Amazon, with two-day shipping. I was expecting it today, the 30th. So i went on Amazon to check were the heck it was, and it said it would be at my house on sept 5th. Now the realese date on Amazon is Aug. 28th, so therefor with 2 day shipping, i should get it nine days later? The thing that tips me off the most is that, it says if you order today with 1 day shipping you will get it on the 31st. I know that no one can do anything about it, but this was the only place to vent my frustration.

Every online site sucks. I pre-ordered nightfall nearly a month in advance (same day when girlfriend did it). I didn't get it until like 5 days after she got it (we both did same shipping time and everything). I missed out on a witch hat because they wouldn't deliver my product on time.

Gameplay UK for the win (if you're in the UK) - got mine today!

Maybe you should have just gotten it through the online store?

Your best bet is as stated above, do it through the online store or buy it through a retail store. I got mine through retail and it came in yesterday.

Anyone who ordered GWEN in Austalia thru the official retail supplier here will not get GWEN before the 3rd Sept at best. I would say that it would be a large percentage of the Australian GW community. That totally sucks. Good one Anet we may not be a large market compared to the European and American sectors. But it seems that we are once again being treated as second class citizens.

I pre-ordered GW:EN through Amazon UK a few weeks ago as it included a key for the preview event. Throughout the week running up to the event I exchanged a number of emails with customer services as to the wereabouts of my pre-release event key.

At 11am on Friday I emailed Amazon customer service putting it rather bluntly that if I didn't have my pre-release key in one hour they could kiss goodbye to my custom for some time.

An hour later after no response I cancelled the order, bought a pre-release key in the GW store and pre-ordered the game from Play.com.
Play have dispatched it and it should be dropping on my mat today (living in the country means deliveries can appear at any time).

As an aside:
I recieved a notice of cancellation from Amazon on the Saturday of the event weekend, it informed me I wouldn't be charged for my cancellation, and, if I wanted to order GW:EN again, my pre-release key would be emailed to me within two weeks. Marvellous, well done Amazon. I didn't bother to check & see if they included instructions on how to go back in time to use it!
