In case anyone who hasn't bought GW:EN through the online store,
A NEW UPDATE CLOSED THE ONLINE STORE!!! All we can get now is a PITCH BLACK SCREEN and error 042.
What's going on???
ANET has a lot of explaining to do. First "fraudulent transactions" locked out a lot of players, now simply taking out the online store for everyone...
ADDED: Store is back up online again.

Are anet taking the piss with the price through the online store? I went there to buy it (as my mailorder preorder hasn't arrived yet) and they want £21.50 for it - seeing as mailorder prices which include delivery and physical media/packaging are between £14.89 and £17.99 how the hell can they justify more for a digital download? Surely it should be cheaper as there's less cost to anet involved AND they'll get the merchants cut of any profit so will make more anyway. I thought Apple and iTunes were bad for profiteering from downloads but compared to anet they're not even gifted amateurs - no wonder the price of eye on there wasen't advertised in advance.

Not true... I got err 045 - permanent ban due to suspected payment fraud. Still haven't been able to play (obviously) and am told by support that they are working on it now. I got an email saying everything was ok after I purchased last night... but its not ok yet for me

The real story is right here. anet is screwing a lot of people over and there explanation is a "burp". Then they tell you to go buy it retail. FFS! Boycott the online store until they can get at least one thing right.

Nice to know people are having fun and figuring out the quests and missions.... glad you're having fun.
But A LOT of people are being screwed by the online store. Even you, that are finally able to log in should step up and voice your opinion about what a bunch of bullshit this thing has been.
