Imagine my shock today when I visited the Hall of Monuments today and MY OWN Elite Armor is now shown, and I can select a plethora of PvE Titles to choose from and display. And these are the only two I've really looked at so far.
I'm sorry, but in the timeframe of a week since the Preview Event, that's really listening to the community. The changes appear obvious from our end, but we pointed them out and they really delivered for the final product in a really short period of time. Is it perfect yet? No. But it is far better than before.
It is really reassuring to me to see them work so quickly to really make the Hall of Monuments a very player-centric experience. They did good here. If we, as the community, can make a 400+ Post thread on how disappointing some features of the HoM are, then we should certainly make a thread thanking Anet for listening to the community and implementing very good changes in a very short amount of time.
Give credit where credit is due. Thank you, Anet.

I am glad that the armor actuall is a statue of us now, but I was 100% sure that the title monument wasnt set up fully for the event so I didnt worry about the pve not being there at the time

Because too many people felt the "Deserved" it to be the way THEY wanted it. Why thank someone for doing something they SHOULD HAVE done in the first place?
I, for one, am very greatful for the changes to the HoM. I dont know if they are actuall changes or if the HoM just wasnt "fully operational" durring the preview, but Thank You Anet.
IMO, only thing left is to solve the minipet customization issue and the HoM will be a work of art.

While not the lovefest you want....I started a thread discussing the changes just after the launch today...the overall mood of the thread is that people like the changes. It's still not perfect but most definitely a considerable improvement.

On the official wiki HoM discussion page, Gaile posted what James Phinney (lead designer) said about the state of the HoM in the preview: He basically said that it was not broken, it was working as intended.
The impression I got was that HoM was intended simply as a mechanism for granting bonuses in GW2, nothing more. (Personally I suspect that's why displays are limited to 5 items... perhaps each item increases your GW2 bonuses and having huge numbers of them would grant too much).
But anyway- in spite of it being "not broken", they made some changes - nothing really huge, but very popular changes none-the-less. Well, they're popular with ME at any rate :-D And that can only be down to A-net respecting the wishes of the players, where they were able. They did it in less than a week too. Great work! I'm more familiar with Bioware and Obsidian's (NWN Series) pace regarding updates... so with that in mind, ANet's attention to detail is a breath of fresh air.

They still need to fix a lot of things, but you right HOM does look a lot better than last weekend. I dont know if they really want HOM to be like in the preview or thay saw the ten of thousands of pissed off people coming toward their office. But nevertheless, hat off to them for not making HOM the worst thing in GW.

Because the HoM sucks. I dont go asking around 'why is there no thank you for adolf hitler forum?' because it's f*cking obvious. who could be happy when the pvp-ers AND pve-ers both got screwed over. Fortunatly I hear the new HoM is a lot better with some new features and such.

That is so TRUE ! and thanks Anet ! Looking at the HOM after I logged in this morning was a pleasant surprize. It is just a bridge between two games but I really liked the changes made and they actually suit me just fine as is.

Take another look at that petition and you'll see Anet have resolved things for the second group, not the much larger first group.

Heh, I wouldn't advise GWO though. I've been part of TGH, GWG and GWO, and while GWG has its problems, it's the best of those three. GWO diallows any linking posts to anywhere (really handy when you can't even link to the wiki) and is run by very self-important mods, and the community there resists new information, to the point that my notes on actual pet behaviour were often disregareded in favour of the Prima guide, since it's "official". TGH was my first home, but it went downhill fast.
I don't like GWO's principles, it is clearly insular and prevents sharing of knowledge (as an example, I tried to link the pet guide at one point and was threatened with a ban) and one can't link to any "competitor" site. I have no idea how a public resource like a wiki is a "competitor", but it's their way of making themselves feel important, and keeping their flock from reading outside opinion.

Their would be a Thank you anet if they would have fixed the main thing that got the pittion started and thats the MINI pet Monument but Thanks Anet for the other Fixes but you should have addressed that problem first.

i just think that the only shrine that should be account bassed is the Minis i have 40+ minis 1 of each and would love to cram them all into the HOM but than i wuold not beable to show my mini aatxe with my necro or my Charr with my monk you get the drift i like certine minis to show at certain times like when we are killing fire imps i love to have the imp out, but if i was to cramm all my minis on my main char into his HOM than i would no beable to admire my aatxe when doing UW and the other thing was that the minis should be storred in the HOM once u put them in their unstead of haveing them in it as well as still takeing up space in your invintory or storage.

Well, I for one am thanking them.
I havn't used it yet, but it looks like it's a step in the right direction. And as far as people complaining here; well, this is where all the complaints to Anet are redirected when you email them. And for the most part, I imagine a majority people coming here are becuase they got so riled up about something in the game that they just had to tell someone about it. Quote:
