Okay seriously, I've been saving up money for a while (have around 700k now) and I was hoping that in GW:EN they will come out with a new expensive set of armor. Since there is only 4 sets per profession, that only leaves 1 for each group (norn, dwarf, etc). I'm not talking about 15k armor, but I'm talking about armor that costs as much as FoW but looks a lot better. About half of those armors are a big disappointment for the extremely high costs.
Male necro is just plain ugly cause there is no pants, the throns are ugly, and you got random black lines all over the character and it looks like someone took a black marker and drew all over him when he was passes out drunk... (btw it looks 10 times worse in town when you see it on someone else cause the resolution isn't that good) The female necro was well designed though and would be worth the money. Also the rit armor is kind of ugly. The monk, female mesmer, and assassin armor don't even seem unique or cool at all and it would better fit for 15k armor.
Honestly I thought fow armor should be the best designed armor, or at least one of the best. Not just some ugly thing that people wear to show off their money. Give us a new set, maybe UW armor or something so we have a cooler set of armor for us to work up to.
Need new "fow" armor!

There are only three sets of FoW armor I like: Monk (male), Rit, and Paragon. I would be interested in seeing an Eternal set of armor. This would be something more appropriate to disciples of Dwayna, Melandru, Lyssa, and Kormir. However, the Eternal Armor would dye under similar rules to the Chaos Axe. Obsidian Armor is appropriate in most cases for disciples of Grenth and Balthazar, butI agree it is mostly unappealing.

maybe another free update like sf? except only add in the dwayna/lyssa/melandru areas

Eh, "ugly" and "cool" are always personal tastes. I hate Warrior Primeval for example.
They can't please everybody. Personally, I like many of the FoWs. Sure, there is less detail then many sets, but its still a great status symbol. If they introduced a 2nd set of "new" FoW though, how long before people started to complain that that didn't look good enough?
If you think the first set "sucks" and the second set "sucks" then there are going to be threads like this demanding a FoW Rt helm that looks cooler, a female FoW ele set that shows more clevage, etc. It doesn't end. Armor is a personal prefence. Just be glad that you have litterally hundreds of permutations for armor choices now if you use a mixed set. It doesn't have to be the most expensive. Buy the FoW that YOU like. If you don't like any of it, use the best Norn/Dwarven/15k Imperial/or whatever. Use the armor you like because you like it, not because its the most expensive. You want to buy FoW just for the status symbol. If it was just another 10k armor set, you probablly wouldn't care.
Besides, you can always buy some chaos gloves now (10k plus 75 ectos) in GW:EN.

Nothing wrong with wanting to be a bit more unique. I don't wanna get the norn armor, and then see like 10 necros run right by me with the same exact armor on. I would think they would work on the fow expensive armor a bit more than the others so it can look better and unique. I haven't found ANY armor to replace my 15k kurzick, nightfall had crap and im not so sure about eotn. I saw the chaos gloves, but they looked horrible heh. I just want my guy to look cool.

Armor is no longer a personal preference. It is now something that you get inorder to build points for transfer into GW 2. The majority of FoW is not worth putting out the time and effort to get, and certainly not worth wearing. It is a waste of money and effort to get. Do I detest this? Yes. As an example, my ranger is quite happy in her white leapard skin print Istani Armor. There is no elite armor that interests her at all. Yet, if she does not purchase some highend something or other then it amounts to nada for HoM. GWEN has ended the idea that elite armor and weapons are now a status symbol. They are now necessary to play the game. And with that they have destroyed people's preference to express what they appreciate as they play.

erm....no.
They aren't necessary to play the game. If they gave +10% armor or other buffs, they might be necessary. HoM is about ego. Nothing there will affect gameplay in GW2. Lemme repeat. NOTHING IN HoM WILL AFFECT GAMEPLAY IN GW2. You might get exra brownie points or cool gifts or weapons when the game comes out, but you aren't going to be leet pwng just because you had FoW. If it means so mch, get some to post in the hall. That's all it's good for, anyway, and the only reason people get it.
HoM is a status symbol. Otherwise you would be able to show whatever level titles and armor you wanted. Personally, I'm much more impressed by the PvP title. Flaming Phoenix out of the ass FTW. The symbol of someone that truly owns.
