Club of a thousand bears.
Ace2001
Okay, how the hell do you beat this quest?! >.< I know I have to finish the bear off with the club, but it does so little damage that by the time I get the bear down to almost 0 health and switch to the club, he uses that one skill that boosts his max health for 12 seconds, or troll urgent. ( I'm a D/W, btw. I'm using Ebon Dust Aura and 2 other earth skills so I can do earth damage. (I only have one scythe weapon and it's not earth damage, so. >_>) I try getting it down low on health, switch to club and then use one of the earth attacks OR the PVE sunspear skill (mine does around 97 damage) but reguardless, it either heals or gains more health, forcing me to switch back to the scythe to get it's health lower again. x_X ( I do anywhere from 9-43 or so damage with my scythe and only 3 damage with the club.)
I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but it's pissing me off. >.<;; (I spent the last TWO hours trying to switch fast enough to the club to take it out, and it's just not working. ~-~)

It does damage, deepwound, and cracked armor. Its a shout too Might work. If not, the only thing I can imagine you doing is wielding the club whille casting offensive enchantments and then spiking him (The bear) with mystic sandstorm.

I've never done a "spike" before, let alone a mystic sandstorm build. x-x Uuhh. where do you get the "finish him" shout at? right now the only norn skills I have are the wolf, raven and bear ones, as well as " I am the strongest," "You move like a dwarf," and "Feel no pain"

Oi, you have to beat the tournament/Bison?! >.< yeah, I can't do that. I tried during the preview event a good 15 times and got my ass kicked every time, so unless somebody has developed a better dervish build that to use Ebon dust cloak, (since I don't have an earth Scythe) I can't do that. x_x

Midnight Harmony
All I did was equip the club and kept hitting the bear until it died. It took a few minutes but was very easy.

wtf? o_O
The club does 3 damage per hit when I wield it, and when you count it's regen skill and it's +hp skill..that seems extremely unlikely.

Try using one of the elite forums that you get from the Norn. IIRC that's how I beat it.
Evilsod
This quest was easy... i just stood there for ages using Lightning Reflexes on recharge, then Finish Him when it got below 50% (eventually!) and thats 1 dead bear.

Use pretty much any damage skills/spells you want, I found that as long as the club makes the final blow that kills him you pass.
Count Stacy
i equiped the club then.. used rodgorts invocation.. and it was legit.. that was preview weekend though. i'd say.. use a summoning jutsu to derail the thread?.. multi track drifting while doing barrel rolls.
Boneyard Spleeneater
I don't think I even used the club. If I did, it was only because I was supposed to equip it. I used my standard set of Mes spells to take him out, empathy and degen.
Leonhart
As a warrior I had equipped [skill]Charging Strike[/skill] as it does +42 extra damage on hits, it was really easy, also bring interrupts if he is healing or something :/
Kain666
i used Shadow Form + Meteor Shower, Bed of Coals, Phoenix and Flame Djinn Haste while wielding the club...then a few more hits and he was down all in less than 15 seconds
Chrono Re delle Ere
Just kick his ass with ur normal weapon till he goes very close to death, then give him the last strike. It worked

Except that is exactly what the OP is doing and its not working.
What I did on my Paragon was use Mending Refrain (+4 regen) and Ursan Blessing. I was running with 13 Motivation and 12 Hammer mastery, but I don't think I actually hit with the club itself much as I was spamming out the Ursan skills. So I'd suggest going /Mo for Mending and Watchful Spirit with the blessing (you have less armour, so you probably will need more regen). Maybe throw Retribution in there as well for some extra DPS.

But doesn't mending get canceled when you use the blessing? Or is it not an enchantment?

Mending Refrain, Not mending.
[skill]Mending Refrain[/skill]
Its a shout.

SotiCoto
[skill]Illusionary Weaponry[/skill] on the Club much?
Ace2001
>.< Meh, all of that requires that I change my secondary, and in Soti's case, waste time finding and capping a skill I don't have and will probably only use once. x_x; Though I do plan on eventually capping all elites on my Dervish, so I guess I'd have to do it eventually.

Yes, I did miss the remove all enchants part for my suggestion of going /Mo

i did exactly the same, just equipped the club ,and clubbed it to death, i guess it was bugged in the sneak peak and got changed.

Hmm I tried the suggestions here as well as Earth tank and this is what I've found:
IW: not enough damage/defense
Ursan Blessing: not enough damage (but does have armor and
Earth Tank (dual attunement, to be specific): recipe for a very sore arm, due to the battle taking 50 minutes+!
Seriously, judging by how fast I was casting and the bear's HP bar, he has around 18 pips of HP regen with troll ungent.
For the doubters, after hitting him with Ebon Hawk, the bar was down to about NOTHING. I immediately cast Stoning for ~66 dmg, and he was still at almost no health. Aftercast delay +cast time = 1.75sec. Divide 66 damage by that and you get stoning doing 37.7 damage/sec for that brief period of time. That is over 18 pips of regen, almost 19.
Also, one of his attacks has a conditional knockdown effect, triggering the KD on the attack being blocked (can't remember the name). Problem is, I was being KD'd by it, AND I HAD NO BLOCK SKILLS!
So does the bear just get some sort of cheat mode when fighting eles, or am I missing a whole crapload of this battle's mechanics?

I wish I knew, theblackmage. I've temporarily given up on this quest and am currently doing the asura quests in hopes of eventualy getting better/usefull skills that will help me beat it. ~_~ (maybe summoning skills? My summon assassin skill can summon a..level 12 or 14...I forget which, lol.)
Arren Knez
all i did was take volfen blessing and some healing, slammed on volfen and just went at him, if i needed a heal then undo it and heal then back at it
