Just spend some time farming for GW:EN heroes' armor. The upgrade piece can be obtained from the Glint's Challenge at the Central Transfer Chamber.
The challenge mission is fairly simple, just bring a MM hero and you can c-space through it. There are six waves of destroyers to defend against and takes ~20min to complete. At the end you get a chest which drops a Cloth of the Brotherhood which can be used to upgrade the heroes' armor. No more random chance drop.
And like NF, the heroes get much better armor than players.

Edit: There is an additional armor set for the heroes which can be obtained from the dungeon Slavers' Exile.

Rofl! Most of the armor we get is complete crap, and they give 10 awesome sets of armor to the heros. Anet really dropped the ball on this one. The only nice thing is that if you give them the armor, you can put it in the HoM. By the way, did you earn those, or did you buy the cloth for that? How much are they selling for?

The armors that the heroes have are supposed to match that hero style, even Norgu's armor have its own style.
The armors that we can wear are supposed to match the possible types of templates (the mix of face, body, style and etc). They didint created any exclusive new type of armor becasue they didint added any new type of "characters".
Im not sayin i wouldnt want new armors and etc, but ill mantain my main argument.
I loved Kahmu's armor... really kicked ass.

If Anet made armor like that for our characters, even if it wasn't dyable. I'd still buy it, that Dervish's armor looks a shitload better then any of the other crap.

Did they really think people would like this crap? Did they think we wouldn't call them out on this? I swear, the producer or whoever was responisible for the final decisions in GW:EN should be fired so it's not repeated in GW2.
It's like anet has kicked me in the groin and then laughs all the way to the bank.

I totally love the Anton and Kahmu armor. I wish we PLAYERS could get the Kahmu armor, that would be EPIC! Seriously it even looks better than Primeval.

It's awesome that it isn't a random drop anymore - for goodness sakes, retro fit the Elonan version too with something similar. After months trying to obtain hero armor from Elona, I have two heroes to show for it. Two!
