This is one tough quest. I would like some ideas on how you got through it, if you did. I got as far as the room with fire darts. I figured correctly that the helper golem was the key for getting through there, but staying in his circle of protection did NOT protect me. So I'm wondering if there is a bug or something I'm missing. My whole group died, of course. Even if the circle protected, it's impossible to keep everyone in it.

Next try, I will take some fire protection, spells etc. I've tried the quest four times now. Those Wind Riders are over the top in AI, as are the Raptors. It's their speed that kills. I go way out of my way to avoid those two enemy groups.

I had a near party wipe at the fire dart room too. An enemy would hop in and the AI would stop moving [my AI, not the allied bot] and they all died. Luckily, my warrior was durable enough to survive, kill, and make it to the rez shrine.

I don't mean to insult your playing ability, but my party continually massacred the wind riders, even though 6/8 were casters. Try a PUG group for the dungeon/quest, or just make sure you survive to make it to the shrine and you should be fine.

Same here, I barerly survived with 5 henches and 1 hero. Ogden and Xandra died and I had to finish the quest without them. Lucky, you can pull golems instead of fighting will 10 at one time. But yes, lowering damage/effect of both Fire and Ice darts would be nice, as it's kinda stupid that a weak dungeon has tougher enviorment effects than DoA or The Deep.

You really don't need buggs against it if you stay in protection, no? And... have you been to the Deep? It's effects are FAR worse than that one tiny hall.

LoL poor bookahs.

It wasn't that hard, you just gotta be smart about it.

I just used heroes and henchies and got through ok.

The fire darts were a challenge, but I pulled through with only one wipe.

staying in the golem's circle do protect you, use a longbow to pull the sentry golems into the circle and you'll be fine

You have to flag your hench heroes - BEFORE the circle gets to them.. so change your flag position and put it just outside the circle, by the time they run up to it, the circle will be around it... plus they can take care of Sentry Golem while still in the circle.

I don't understand, all saying different things. My experience was that even in the circle, I was dying. And my group died off very fast. What is killing us then? I tried continual flagging to keep group in circle; didn't work.

Cryshal, enemy bots invade your circle of happiness. They are probably killing you and distracting your party so they don't stay in the circle.

Very easy dungeon and like they said in the fire dart room just keep them in the circle as best as possible that the worker golem creates. Also a run skill for yourself to run 3 of the rooms which is tje key room, deactivation room and the flux room.

Varies, still looking for a good one.

There ARE opposing golems in that room too, maybe they killed you?

And the way I made it through that room was whenever my team needed healing, or was going to fight a golem, I stood in front of the protection one (With my heros and hench right by me) so it blocked it from walking any further. I got through without wiping that way.

Yep, I think that golem is bugged. He didn't stop for me neither and I lost two NPC's thanks to that. I mean, I could make him move, then click on him to stop.. But he kept moving. So heroes were busy at both following me within circle, healing themselves and fighting with golem. It was too much for them :/

I made this quest easily the first time even though my stupid heroes/henches couldn't stay within the protection circle in the fire dart area. I did though, and got to the res shrine on the other side and deliberately died so we all ressed there. My only wipe so far in EotN.

As I was saying it was my first time so didn't know what to expect in terms of mobs - I brought a MM hero only to find out there were no exploitable corpses. Couldn't be arsed to go back and change him and still beat it pretty easily.

Overall, EotN has been an absolute cakewalk with Heroes + Henches. I'm kinda dissapointed in this regard.

What?!?! This was pretty easy for me...if it helps, I'm a warrior.

IIRC my party was this: Me (W) Xandra, Gwen, Mhenlo, Lina, Zho, Talon, Herta.

And the room with the fire arrows, when I stayed in the circle it protected me so maybe its just a glitch.

The fire dart room is a tough nut to crack, esp with only hero/hench. they often slip out of the protective circle if you dont flag them every 2/3 seconds.

I did it though, and went on to beat the quest.

About the wind riders: they are incredibly weak, my ele heroes tore through great swathes of them. I actually consider them the weakest foe ive met so far in GWEN.

Me and my girlfriend didn't even know about the golem's protection. We just hugged the right wall and made a dash for it. If we aggro'd a golem we'd quickly kill it and just keep running. No deaths, our monks kept us alive to make it through.

Note it was the right wall theirs a little pathway between the wall and the fire dart towers on the left.

That quest was actually surprisingly easy. The most annoying part was the fire dart room and incompetent heroes running in circles, but other than that, it was nothing that made me second guess myself. Definitely one of the fun quests in GWEN where you have to think more than fight.

I am doing this quest right now and I'm not sure if its bugged or if its just me and my party but when you get to the point where you are susposed to find the worker golem, NONE of them will let us use them. All say working offline or invalid command... even tried clicking on the sentry ones too... we have clicked on every single one multipul times.... suggestions? or is it bugged....

ETA: Resigned and went back in... was able to speak with a worker golem. must have been glitch.

I can't do this quest, simply can't do it. The fire dart room, just can't get through it. I've tried everything I can think of. My run skill doesn't work fast enough either.

Works comes to worst there is lemming. Go in use circle kill what you can. Wipe, restart, this time getting a bit further. Repeat till you hit rez point. I did this as I did not notice the circle until already at 60 dp.

That's what I did, over and over, at 60dp, until I finally got too frustrated. I'll try again, as soon as I cool off.

o.O there was a helper golem? shit I just barged through with 3 healers, stopping here and there along the way to allow the monks to remove burning and kill off the golems inbetween. It did take a few wipes tho..

the best way to do this is to stand infront of the worker golem and block his path he stops allowing you to kill the sentrys at range without getting Toasted oh yeah and set you heros to avoid combat or they will run out of the circle when they spot an foe

You will need atleast 4 people to do this or he will walk around you Just box him in and you should be fine

this can also be done with heros.

I took a tip from another poster and buffed the group up as much as possible and ran down the right side. About 2/3 down, there is an area to the right you can run into and rebuff. I and two hench made it through. Then I flagged the hench away from fire and buffed again and rezzed the rest of my group. It took awhile.

really hard for me, i'm not really good at commanding heroes and I've been having problems keeping them from attacking the sentry golems even though they're set to guard. That was the only challenging part. doing it PUGway should solve your problem

In the fire dart room I just kept running forwards to stay in the circle while constantly flagging heroes/henchmen forward (otherwise they would lag behind me and get hit). I was so busy flagging that I barely noticed the golems coming up to me, but their damage was easily negated. It was intense but I managed fine, no deaths. Of course with a human party this would be a million times easier.

Light of deliverance is very helpful in situations like this. I recommend bringing it. Or maybe Extinguish.
