Kilroy Stonekin's Extravagant Punchout!
Darkobra
I can't complete the game. Not because of the monsters being "too hard", or the hench and heroes being stupid.... very..... very.... VERY stupid.... Not because the dungeons take "too long" or the puzzles are "too hard". I have no issues with any of these. No, my reason is Kilroy Stonekin.
I have become addicted to not only the amazing music the game has to offer, but the variety of mini games on the side.
Polymock, with my limited experience in the game, does seem to hold great potential. The variety of different pieces with increasing tactics and strength can really make you think at times. Although with only three unique skills for each piece, there's less "variety" and more "What piece would be more effective against his current piece?" I suppose it was truly just in calling it a chess game. A PVP version of this in the future would be fun, but as for now, I think people would be better off learning how the game works over rushing in to try it in PVP and getting frustrated over it.
Kilroy Stonekin's boxing games are definitely a lot of fun. Punching out a few dwarves with a homicidal maniac screaming for death and glory and even knocking out an Ettin bare handed. Once you've done that, you can even fist fight a few enemies from all past games, such as Centaur, Corsair and even a few Kappa.
This is the real reason I got GWEN. Nothing to do with the charr and the story of Gwen, the Asurans and PVE only skills, finding out how powerful the Norn really are and fighting an end game boss, (although those are major benefits I'll eventually do. But not now.) but for the mini games. Things I can have fun on and have more of a variety from the usual rushing through hordes of enemies and screaming at Ogden to stop spamming skills with backfire on him and actually USE his hex removal.
Also, you can definitely see a difference in the community itself. People are sitting around a campfire here, helping people who need help. Giving information to those who need it. No arguing from any one; they're all too busy having a good time.

You didn't want GWEN for Gwen!? BLASPHEMY!

Kilroy . . . grr, it is fun and irritating too. He runs amok and won't call his targets!! lol

I never thought I'd love Kilroy Stonekin after all the times I chased him through SF screaming "NOOOOO SLOW DOWN YOU CRAZY SUICIDAL MIDGET" but I have to agree. I've spent more time than I care to admit punching things and following him around the Shiverpeaks to whale on Stone Summit and drink ale.
I love the mini games. They should have more things like scavenger hunts, races, etc.

I like the minigames too. Loved the norn fighting tourney especially, some of the opposing builds was just lol. I just wish some had more faction rewards, so you could get some title grind done while playing this rather than just clearing areas.

The tourney DOES give you a small amount of Norn rep, I think.
But I agree, you get way less than you'd get if you went outside and killed things. It'd be nice to get more, but I don't mind if they leave it as is.

I wonder how this winter will be with mini games. Punching down snowmen?

Kilroy Stonekin 0wnz.
Charging about and wailing on stone summit... then getting rewarded with booze is FTW.

Diablo???
I heard Ireland is going to build a collosal bronze statue of Kilroy Stoneskin to honor him...
but seriously, he is awesome, considering his "leroy" origin, he became more than just an homage-character, he's in the big time!

Kilroy Stonekin is still running on the Leeroy Jenkins coatails.
Every time I get his quest, when he does his yell I use the Leeroy Jenkins warcry instead...
My girlfriend is getting quite sick of it by now.
Then again... there have been a few times in Alliance Battles and Fort Aspenwood when I've done similar.... and typed it in the chat-box no less....

LOL. You've got that right! KS is the man. I would love to see him go 1 on 1 with M. Bison. Man, I would pay just to watch that match.

I noticed a pretty big change in the community as well. Seems there are a lot more friendly and helpful people around, although that's likely due to the increase of players with the release of a new expanion.. But I have found the game to be a lot less stressful. There are no missions which force you to start all over because of a mistake, and no failed quests due to an NPC getting killed. Perhaps that makes the game too easy for some, but I have found it to be much more enjoyable. Plus there's the dungeons and what naught for those who want more of a challenge.
It's actually kind of depressing to play the game and see so many people having a great time, and then coming here, and having to read countless topics about how "short" the game is, or how many reskins there are..

Come find me in Olafstead and you're guaranteed to see me b!tching about the lag.
I've been having such a "great time" in Eye of the North that I actually went back to training my Ranger up in Echovald Forest instead. Call me back to the Shiverpeaks when the hyper-lag dies down.

Didn't really have that much problem with lag, below 200 most of the time. Elastic back here and there, as for the town I try to go to lesser district rather 1 or 2 because it always pack and take a bit longer to load.

I definitely agree with the OP. I don't really care that the game seems so short when there are so many fun minigames and extra sideshows to enjoy over and over again
Darkobra
The lag is absolutely horrible for some people. A few of my friends are paralysed in lag while I can move around freely. I've been telling them what missions they can and can't do until the lag dies down. Particularly the ones that swarm you or the ones that need constant movement.
On a side note: Never tell any one to use the search function. It is epic fail. I tried to search for this thread using exact spelling and grammar. "No results found." I'm just glad it was on the front page and not away on page 7.

Kilroy Stoneskin is the man. He is crazy, not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed but yet alot of fun.
