I see all these petitions for new armor and redesigning but it's not going to happen.
I really like GWEN but the lack on new models is due to funds in my opinion.
(none of this is confirmed but I'd say it was a pretty good guess)
Guild Wars business model is not the strongest nor reliable ever invented. As they develop GW2 they need money and GWEN is the answer to that. Modeling is a time consuming and therefore expensive proceedure so it is cheaper to save money on that aspect. From a funding perspective I'd say GWEN is a 'make the cheapest expansion you can and sell it for the most money you can really ask'. They then take the profit in order to fund GW2, to make it possible. Bare in mind that until 2009 GWEN is all the major income they'll have.
Personally I'm loving the expansion, it's great fun to play. But it is clear that money was saved on modelling and skinning as they are very expensive to do. However they more than made up for it with the replayability of reputation gain and the awesome scripting.
It doesn't matter how much you petition Anet simply don't have the funds to redo anything if you want to see a GW2. Unlike Camalot (who made Golden Sun) Anet can't be expected to bankrupt themselves making the best game ever, because even after production they've got to pay for the servers to keep running.
Think about it

I agree with the whole "make a cheap expansion and sell it for the most you can" crap.
It makes me sick. They really lost track of what the fan's want, and instead just look for ways to suck money out of people. I mean, 20$ seems like the price they should be charging. They're robbing us blind.

Your one point works against you. The business model has on many occasions been proven to be extremely effective. 4 million copies sold? It has nothing to do with funding. Find me proof that Anet is running low on funds when they are developing a major MMO and working on future updates for their current game until the release of said MMO, and I'll believe you.
EDIT: Many of the creature reskins are for geographical purposes. Ex. Minotaurs in the Far Shiverpeaks. They are cousins of the minotaurs to the South, they should look similar. Some of the armor reskins could just be because the designers really enjoyed the new skin on the old model. It's perfectly plausible. There are some reskins, however, that do not make much sense, but it makes even less sense to correlate that with Anet falling behind financially.

Actually, I'm nearly positive I saw something about ArenaNet releasing another game, one that has nothing to do with Guild Wars. I'm not 100% sure, I could be mistaken in what I thought I saw, who knows.
Although, it wouldn't matter, I'm sure ArenaNet will produce at least one more game, Guild Wars or not, before Guild Wars 2 is released.

Winterclaw
They sold a bunch of copies of GWEN judging by how crowded the game was. They can afford it now.

You're getting Arena Net confused with NC Soft. Arena Net only makes Guild Wars. NC Soft produces (not makes) Guild Wars and many other games.

I dunno, Mazey...I used to think the same thing until I looked at the Hero armors.
Redfeather1975
The Hero armors are new and quite cool.
It makes me wonder what happened with the way player armors are.

I bet what happend is the heroes saw all the awsome armor we were gonna get, and blackmailed the armorers into giving us what THEY were gonna get.
Still looks spiffy to me however.
