I've just cleared Arbor Bay in 1:15 for 3.4k asuran rep.
(me as r/rt, mm hero, 2 sf heroes, mhenlo, lina, zho, and devona).
if anyone got any info of other farming places, please share here.

Ranger, Necro, Mesmer, Warrior boss.

I've heard Sagnoth is good for Ebon Rep. Havnt tried it myself tho.

I got 4k Norn rep in the Vediir Falls... just be sure to clear everything, get your hunt blessing up to 5 asap and hope for a little luck on getting rampager at the right time.

^ possibly the best farm for dwarven points. to elaborate, collect all 4 map pieces for koris deeprunner in umbral grotto. when you go help him find his treasure, bring lots of fire damage. there's a reward chest at the end that drops selected wintersday items (snowman summoners, etc).

Magnus Stones - Pretty sure you can net more than 5k in an hour because you can maintain rampage on this map VERY easily. Yes, it is a matter of luck. Get rampage early on, maintain it then Rank 2,3,4 bodyguard along the way. The boss bonus is a pain. Always got it AFTER I'd killed a boss, and there were no others around.
Raptor nest outside Rata Sum - quick and easy 100+ points. Lvl15 nestlings + boss. If you like quick repeatables, this might be for you.
Sparkfly Swamp. 350+ foes but rampage is more difficult to maintain here.
Verdant Cascades, the Queztal (sp?) just outside Umbral Grotto. Just clear them out, don't worry about the rest of the map. ~500 points here easily, takes about 10-20 mins.

It sucks but it is the only place to "farm" for Vanguard, takes about 1 hour 30mins to clear the area for about 2.5-3.5k.

i got 6k there earlier today but i had 5 points per kill along with the double bonus. when i killed the boss, i also had the double bonus and the boss bonus so that was 400 points right there.

If your after Asuran points then Magus Stones is the place. Run Takes about an hour and my last one got me 4127 points. Easy Kills. The wind Riders are so easy its stupid and the Snakes arent much tougher. I would say the hardest enemies here are the Reavers. I use an MM, Nuker and some interrupt and its gravy all the way.

To do snowman farming from the treasure quest. Can you get reward from quest and keep re-doing it? Or do you have to refrain from completing it inorder to repeat it for norn farming?

I'd recommend Magus Stones as well, it's pretty easy to keep the rampage bonus going, and you can get to R3 bodyguard quickly if you do it clockwise (on the map) from the Rata Sum exit. Rez Shrines are well placed for it and you hit a ton of spiders on the way round the first few.

I farm ebon points in Dalada Uplands, easily get 4-5K here with rampage bonus early on, was really easy to maintain, although only 275ish enemys, cleared the map rather fast, used 2 savannah heat, 1 water, 1 erth warder, no deaths, not even at the giant stingy thing.

Umm contrary to what you are saying, I get 4-6k in an hour and a half. Clear the whole map, leave the charr bosses, come back with Rank 4 Hunt and Rampage and get 600 points a boss, there are 7 bosses on this map if you manage to get them all that's 4.2k instantly.

that is only if the bonuses kick in at the right time, and btw, i'm rank 5 so i can care less about grinding anymore.

wow, once I got ranked enough to use all the services, no more grinding. I find it hard to believe anyone truly "enjoys" clearing an area many many times over. Not only do I have 100% of the charr lands explored I've cleared them all and done ALL the quests. There isn't even a reason to go back.

Yeah I'm the same, but I enjoy the area, and it's still quite fun to run around killing everything

Varajar Fells is the spot for Norn points. Did it twice sofar, first run about 4k, sec run about 5k. Knowing where the bosses are at helps allot @ boss bonus.

I always get 60%DP in the burning forest in Sagnoth when earning my ebon reputation even if I have siege scorpion. My scorpion got killed easily by 5 burning spirits. I feel so pain.

ANy good suggestion? Yes don't use Fire Eles, try earth or my fav Water. also try dismounting the Tank near the rez shrine and going in on foot. If you do die you'll be right back at your tank and ready to roll. |
