Skill: Light of Deldrimor (spoiler)
Meo Yeong
No idea if a thread has been made about this but I have looked around and couldn't find one. Figured people could show screenshots of where they find hidden treasure using Light of Deldrimor. I am not sure if hidden treasures are always in the same place but this is the first one I found. Maybe someone could confirm that or not.
Anyways found one by a boss key in Rragar's Menagerie on level 3. It was the only one I found and it produced a bolt of silk (yay lol).

Do you have to be right on top for it to detect the treasure?

Sheesh a bolt of silk... hope it gets better than that.

Nope.
You use the skill once and in your area and a blue little ember will show up. I will get a screenshot next dungeon that I do. Anyways once you spot the blue little light thingy you sit on top of it then and then use the skill again and something will appear.
Anyways along my journey I went into Ooze Pit and in this dungeon it didn't give treasures but you can get dwarf ghost heroes that are lvl 24 to join your group. I found three in Ooze Pit.

Are those of us who did it during the preview weekend screwed out of that skill because we already did the quest?

Don't worry, Gaile said they know of the problem and they plan on fixing it.

You can get secret Switches which open doors that u couldn't normally open in dungeons, as well as the npc allies and chest.Well that's what i've found so far anyway.
Meo Yeong
K so how the skill works exactly is that if you cast it anywhere in teh dungeon. If there is a secret around the minimap will ping the location to you. Then you run over and do the skill nearby again. If you are on top of it the item or thing will appear. If you are not then that glowy thingy that I meantioned earlier will show up. I attached picture.
Komradkyle
thanks for the help
Drop of Fear
u get additional points in the master of the north track for this?
Meo Yeong
I went into Bloodstone Caves and found one of those secret switches that opens up an area that you wouldn't think is an area. Anyways inside there was three spots that had different things. In one of the hidden treasures I got an Onyx gemstone so finally the skill is useful for a decent loot item.

If you are talking about the Rainbow Phoenix, it appears in your HoM when you put up all 5 tapestries and have People Know Me title. I can guarantee that you need to finish GW:EN or not, but it was in my HoM.

Awesome! thanks for the explanations and screenies Meo Yeong!

Yep have to have Gw:en finished. Also have to go in alone into HoM.

No you don't. There's already one in my HoM and I haven't finished GW:EN. I got some tapestries off of other characters. The only requirements are "People Know Me", all tapestries displayed, and entering alone.

Good to know, Originally on both wiki's it said that you needed GW:EN finished which is what I was going by. Its since been edited to reflect that and not showing 4 requirements anymore.
Anyways back to topic.
When finding more secret switches to open other areas I found something curious. When I was in the Arachni's Haunt dungeon and found one I went and explored it. Now these areas are usually a fair size but the one in this dungeon is huge. What I noticed was it was a total rehash of other dungeons all intertwined together making it look like the dungeons in this game are ony a few actual maps which they have devided up into the different dungeons just with different pathways. We have seen them do a big map divided up before which was DOA so makes it look very possible this is something have done again with these dungeons.

Nice, just got Light of Deldrimor last night. Definitely going to try this out.
These hidden treasures, anyone know if multiple people can open the same one or is it up for grabs like the Koris Deeprunner map pieces?

Update: The hidden treasures give each person an item that has their name on it so it isnt a free for all. So yes multiple people can and get their own thing from it. Only one person needs to bring the skill.

Do the little flames stay up forever (until you recast ontop of them) or do they fade out after a minute or two?

*goes to try it out* I find from the initial first ping that there is a certain amount of time you need to do it in to establish either making it appear or getting the blue flame up. I have seen blue flames disappear and not able to get the loot since was fighting and didnt have time to get to it.

has anyone tried using this skill in areas other than dungeons, maybe there are treasures are secret areas in other explorable areas. also, is it possible that things might appear in other dungeon-like areas such as sorrow's furnace, UW, etc.

Yeeeeaaah. I'll never ever get a Rainbow Phoenix, unless you can go into someone else's HoM and steal one while they're not looking.
Still, it's neat looking. Better than the other phoenix, anyway.

They may get denser as you travel deeper - in Ravens Point I had 2 on one compass on 2nd level, and 3 on the 3rd. Could also be related to the size of the levels though.

It certainly seems to get better as you go deeper.
I used it with a full group in Frostmaw's tonight and the first two levels were nothing but petty cash, but starting on the third levels we started getting diamonds and other rare crafting materials. Didn't get any onyx but several diamonds and a sapphire dropped, so the group certainly appreciated it.

I got an onyx gemstone on the first hidden chest I found . I've also seen Diamonds and Ruby drop from these chests.

I got:
* Many times around 137 Gold (10x or so, Cathedral of Flames had only crap for me)
* 1x Diamond
* 5x items, 3 were gold, one white, one purple
A friend got Onyx.
There were also several Dwarves with Chaos Axes in Shards of Orr...^^

There were also several Dwarves with Chaos Axes in Shards of Orr...^^ I have yet to see any weapons drop from those hiden treasures being I have done 21 dungeons now (repeated some of the dungeons). Which dungeon was it that hidden treaures where giving items?
Wiki also doesnt say anything about weapons dropping from them.

Anyone else confirm they are getting gold items from hidden treasures since all I have seen is ghosts, money, secret switches and rare materials?

notice all the red outside of the normal looking map areas... there's a massive secret passage area in Arachni's Haunt Level 1, it has scenery from all sorts of places in it but no treasures besides the first one near the entrance. If you have time to waste when you do this dungeon check it out because it's pretty crazy
Qcho
This what i have found in Arachni's Haunt
looks like copy of Cathedral of Flames and nothing special there only nice views .
@up : omg lol same stuff was too slow :P

A few people in my frostmaw group got purples last night and I *think* one may have gotten a gold but it was also next to a locked chest so they might have opened that.

Yeah I mentioned earlier about Arachni's Haunt having a huge secert area. Nice map though. That's why I was mentioning that there is probably only a few dungeons maps that are devided up. Maybe they forgot to close the one door that leads to that hude area since there is only the one item in there and in other dungeons the secret areas have doors closed. Also inside Arachni's Haunt that one area with the stairs going all teh way up is the same area as when you do the one charr mission and fight the end boss on the steps. Totally a rehashed area which again makes me think that there is only a couple dungeons maps divided up into different sections.

This skill seems a bit glitched for me. First time I got it I used it to reveal Hidden Treasure in Frostmaw's right on the blessing Beacon. It said a hidden treasure was revealed, yet no treasure box came up.
I then used it for various other treasures in Frostmaws and it seemed to work as intended for those ones.
Then I found one at Level 4 of Frostmaws. The treasure was apparently on the pure ice land mass that you can't get to, just behind the entrance to level 5 of Frostmaws. We looked around very carfefully for a way to access that area, but there was no way to. The funny thing is, there was also a crab on that area where the hidden treasure was, but we couldn't figure out how to get to the crab either.
Do the treasures spawn randomly in any area of the map, sometimes on places the player has no way to get to?
Anyone else experience apparent glitches like this?

I found like 4 chests in Rragar's, as well as 3 Dwarven Ghosts and a Boss Key I think. Got 2 lots of Gold (less than 200 though), a Ruby, and some Fur. I do wish those chests would actually drop something decent consistently, especially because the majority of the time they're out of the way, but whatever.

mostly getting some gold or ghostly dwarves..
