Hi guys,
My extra slot is gone after I deleted a character in order to create another one.
While waiting for support to put it back, I would like to know if any of you has had this problem before? Also for those who are about to delete your character(s), be aware that you may face the same fate with me and have to wait for support to sort it out.

Never had anything like that. I have, however, had it put my characters out of order..

Not only did I lose 3 extra character slots (my character select screen says 14 of 12 slots in use, I have 15 character slots), I also lost my GW:EN preorder bonus items. Still waiting for support to fix it.

i delete my pvp char 2 times a day at least and never had a problem

you have a printout of receipt info from your transaction I hope. with such information it is easily restored. However saying that the only time I ever saw this happen to anyone was when they did a rollback... Since no such thing has happened recently I doubt that is the case. its prob just a listing bug on your playNC master account (if you do not have one you should get one, that is possible part of the problem)... let us know how your report turns out. we will all be happy to hear a good resolution to this...

lol u're more then right. i deleted pvp characters and i dont have their slots anymore. gonna write support

that one is related to the trail key associated with GWEN. that allows for trial access to all campaigns... Everyone go that message that activated the preorder several weeks ago... Its prob making another circle on the GWEN ONLINE store keys now... since the one in the retail box has a trial pamphlet.

So far thankfully I have never had any issues with slots or keys or anything. Still have my one open slot and access to all the stuff I've paid for. Granted I haven't deleted any characters in a week or so, so this might be some new bug that cropped up some place.

well I got support's responses within hours after sending the first email. order number, date of purchase, last 4 digits of credit card number were all provided as requested. They said they would conduct further research on the issue and I have to wait. Hopefully I can get it back soon so I can play my new Sin again.

hmm based on that response i'd almost think Gaile was also a victim of the "Ghost of Character Slots Past"... =P GL to all those affected and thx for the warning, i'll be sure to be careful for now.

Well, my latest word from support is to give them two to three business days due to the high volume of support tickets. Sounds like it may be a bigger problem than I originally thought.
Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer before I create that pre-searing character to get Gwen's bit of tapestry. Oh well.

I got the same type of email after giving them a reminder of my problem after not hearing anything from them for more than a day. Now that I know many people are having the same issue, it's best to just wait and pray that it will get fixed soon.

Check your character select screen, on the bottom will be something like 8 of 8 character slots in use. If both numbers are correct, you should not have a problem. If the second number is lower, you have a problem and should contact support.
Mine currently says 14 of 12 in use. I have a problem.

I have to admit I am beginning to wonder what is going on. I just checked my credit card transactions, and discovered credits from NC Soft that equal my purchases of the EotN preorder, and three character slots. The credits are dated 9/4, two days after I found and reported the problem, but also the first business day after I found the problem.
Now I am beginning to wonder if I will have to go through the purchase process again. And if so, how do I get the preorder items which are no longer available in the store, and also not available in my area.

Wow I just checked my Credit Card record and realized I was refunded the amount I purchased the extra slot. The transaction is dated Sept 4th, more or less 1 day I started having the problem. A refund after 2 months of purchase?
I think there is serious problem with their online store system that somehow automatically refunded many orders.
Well since I already got the refund and loose nothing, I am gonna just buy another extra slot.

Same problem here, I lose access to the Eye of the North Pre-release pack. Then got the refund soon after the problem. I really wish Anet can fix this. Seems like a big problem.

This issue is related to that explained in detail in another thread. As I said there, the matter involves only a few dozen players, which out of 4,000,000 copies sold really is a small number but if it's your account, it's still a concern, of course!
The issue is being reviewed in each case, and we estimate that all tickets will be addressed by Friday. DO write a support ticket if you are affected. You may wish to look at your credit card to see if you've received a credit or refund from NCsoft over the last couple of days. That would be a good bit if info to relay to Support when you send your ticket.
Lastly, a few accounts were found to possess disallowed keys, that is, keys that were resold. Those accounts cannot be reset. The others will be, and all will be returned to normal. (No loss of items, etc.)

Update: I got refund as well as the extra char slot back. A free char slot for me yesss!
Basically ANET appologized for mistakenly disabled the extra slot and notified me that I was refunded. To compensate that, they gave me an access key to add another slot for free. Love it!
Those who were having similar problem should have been contacted with solutions by now.
