I love the idea of the Star of Transference.
A bit of gold, some crafting materials and a skill point, and bang, you have a skill point you can either sell or give to another of your characters.
So what about an Elite Star of Transferance?
Something you can craft (maybe a little more expensively; say for the cost of 2 skill points), that will allow you to transfer one of your elite skills to another character, be it to another character on your account, or selling to the highest bidder?
Using excess skill points for new and interesting applications, such as perfect salvage kits, is the best thing to happen to GW for ages, so please consider expanding on this ANet!
Taking the idea of the Star of Transference and running with it...

So why keep skill tomes?
Nexus Icon
Why indeed?
They were a good idea, badly implemented.
If you're not in the campaign that one of the new classes was introduced in, you'll never get a tome for those classes.
Also, with how utterly piss-poor drop rates have been recently, they're a ridiculously rare item.
Nowhere near practical, and definitely not controllable.
Using this idea keeps a money sink, but puts the control in the player's hands, and also creates a nice new economy where those who have all the skills can sell them to those who don't.
