How do you complete this? I've tried various builds (I'm a ranger/rit), various heroes, setting for interrupts, aoe's, all different types and I'm always perma-60'd within a fight or two. I am really frustrated.

Is there another way to the Shards of Orr? (searching for Shards and Orr didn't show anything helpful)

I've enjoyed the expansion so far but this one mission is really taking all the fun out of it. Maybe I just suck (as I'm sure posters who get off on telling others this will quickly point out).

Just equip running skills and run through.

I was only 60% pretty fast but then flung up my four enchants, and run to the next res shrine, then to the gate.

I went to gadd's encampment a few days ago without the quest. I was just exploring battledepths and it led to heart of shiverpeaks which then lead to the bogroot growths dungeon which is north of gadd's encampment. From there I just ran all the way down south to the destination. This way is definitely longer but a lot easier than what you have tried. Hope this helps.

And I don't think I died once along the way.

Oh man, Cliffchai, THANK YOU.

I'm usually D/Mo; I've tried running Balth/HHF and brought along any given combo of hero/hench for interrupts, energy denial, AoE, smiting, degen, you name it. I just can't seem to do it. I noticed the strip of land running south, but I thought I had to go through the Asura gate to advance the plot, so yeah...

I'll be trying your way tomorrow!

I'll be trying your way tomorrow! Ditto. I'll try the smiter trio for heroes, my derv with Balth/EA/HHF and then hench's. If that fails... I'm walking and taking the easy route

I got through that with both my warrior and my ranger, but found I really had to have a second human player, preferrably a healer, in the party. Then I got asked to help a friend with it, and he was ready to quit until I "spent" a powerstone of courage 2/3 of the way through. It's a pain, that's for sure.

One thing that worked very consistently was running past the last group for the portal to Gadd's encampment...don't even bother trying to fight them. That's why the second human helped a lot. I engaged the group and my partner just ran for the portal.
