Gw:en

First off i have to say tht Gw:En can be likened to a chinese meal from a takeaway it has no substance and after a few hours leaves you wanting to go somewhere else to fill the gap
there are so many things in this expansion which could be better
lockpicks have already been mentioned
AI also
The Polar Bears have no Brutal Mawling how strange because all bears like to stand up to give their opponents the one two with the paws
but with all that hype about GWEN you would have thought that there would be at least a story line and a few missions before you actually got gwen as a hero instead of her being thrown at you like someunwanted booby prize you get from a cheap raffle
the Dwarven Boxing was fun BUT they could have made it better by introducing 40 - 50 skills and making it a 1 vs 1 PvP event and adding points to your own PvP title
an annoyance also was the fact that the storyline was thinner than the credit card i used to pay for the game and that with the introduction of consumables it has now made the whole of Guildwars areas so easy to complete that its really not worthwhile continuing
on the whole I will say that if this is the way of the future for Guild Wars I shall have to decline buying Guild Wars 2 as without a doubt the same thing will happen there as it has on GW1
i am not impressed at all should any GW people be reading this

There's a ton of threads already about what people think of GWen and more everyday. GWen isn't for everyone who was expecting something the size of each campaign, but it has many things for the rest of us.
They do need to rethink some things like only destroyer weps (that you have to pay for/craft) in the HoM? Wrong!
They should drop the 100 gold thing to fight in the Norn Tourney. You don't have to pay to do Polymock. Wrong!
They do need to continue to build beautiful sets. I LOVE the burning forest. Holy cow, that's awesome! Right!
I love GWen, and it ties together so well with so many of the other campaigns, I can play in peace for the next year without a worry.

Then go Thai. Get a red curry (I like the duck), some thai noodles topped with ground peanuts, and some coconut rice. Wash it down with a Singha beer or three, and never look back.

This is not a complaint it is a statement an opinion based upon a playing experience

I have been thinking about this release and can only reach this logical conclusion that GW1 has finished and the more people playing on it when GW2 comes out the less income for them. i mean let us not be deceived, it is all about money here, this company wishes to make a profit, and a sold article is no longer profitable, it actually cost them money.
I remember when Guild Wars First came out, all those flowery speeches made about we promise to release a new campaign every 6 Months [Do you remember that to?] we have two teams working on alternate projects to do this [remember that as well?]
if that was the case then it took them a year near enough to complete GW:EN, and that is all they can come up with in a year?
So the conclusion is that they want to finish with GW1 as soon as possible and come out with the brand spanking NEW and IMPROVED version of Guild Wars called GW2, and low and behold the cycle of pain/profit returns to the beginning.
Well thats business for you

With the numerous complaints I'm sure the developers will see how to develop future product. There are a number of good things about the expansion though!
Maybe we can let them know what things are really cool about the expansion too.
For one I really like the amount of secrets in this expansion. There are soooo many secrets in this and over in the gwonline section we are still scratching our heads trying to solve some of these riddles!
The ones that intrigue me the most is the Charr battle plans and the 6 facets riddle. :O
What could they mean?!

Well thats business for you But you forget one thing, by linking GW1 and GW2 through GW:EN, people will come back to do things in GW1 to add titles to the Hall of Monuments to get exclusive items in GW2, so there is still life left in the old girl yet and her daughter will take a lot from the mother
basically, with the release of GW2, there will be an explosion of new GW1 players as more people are introduced to the series

Polar bears are better because they don't have Brutal Mauling, which is a skill that does nothing, no damage bonus.
Anyways this has been discussed a number of times in order things, please try search thanks. Closing
