Hiya! i just joined so i guess ill say hello! well i was thinking over last night, my main character i love to play is my elementalist and was wondering bout some suggestions for a nice AoE Build and a Single Target anihilation build. my current AoE Build ocnsists of Teinia's Heat, Fire Storm, Meteor and Lava Arrows (also flare, mind burn aura of rest. and fire attunment are in there but i only use those for slow single target dmg). Looking on sahvana's heat on getting also. I cant think of any great single target builds for an ele. so i was wondering what some people have to offer? same for AoE builds. Thanks in advance for the help!
P.S.
I currently have nightfall and factions so if possible dont include proph. spells.

Big damage + fire + 5 second recharge. You can counteract the high cost by using Auspicious Incantation, which would actually net you a bunch of energy.

for single target builds, just use empathy and backfire (depending on what mob you face) and any type of damage skills while you watch the mob slowly destroying itself.
for aoe i use searing flame, glowing gaze, rodgorts, GolE and fire attunement. together i get searing flame, glowing, rodgorts, GolE (or auspicious, i prefer the glyph), fire attunement, empathy, backfire, res. Against mobs you use GolE, rodgorts, searing, glowing, searing and keep firing searing unless glowing is recharged, then use that. For bosses start with either empathy or backfire depending on the boss, then go trough the cycle like normal mobs. Easy to use and not much can go wrong, so you can focus on your hencies/hero's as well.

Rodgorts...as nice as it is now, I don't think you read the OP well enough, since it is a Prophecies spell and he DOESN"T have Prophecies.
It would then take 2 castings of SF to cause burning and do damage as a solo elementalist. Mind Blast+Liquid is the way to go unless he gets prophecies and/or access to the Rodgort spells. Look for a core spell that causes burning in order to get Glowing gaze into that build for maximum energy gains.

Smoldering Embers, Mind Blast, Fireball, Liquid Flame, Fire attunment, Res sig and 2 skills for you to choose.
Smoldering embers, Mind blast and fireball combines very well with their recharge times, you can spam around like there's no tomorrow. You got single targat damage and some AoE. With this bar you can take some utility and adpat on the area you're going, you can take more AoE, or some self heal, more energy management, whatever you want. |
