Triple XP Weekend

I don't think people actually know that there are traders that take skill points from you too. Some pretty handy items to have too.

For those of you that have a big pile of skill points you can't use the "consumable" merchant sells stuff that you need skill points for. Of course, I have yet to figure out the one that you give up 250G and materials and a skill point to buy a thing to give you.....a skill point.

Some of it looks pretty good, if you are having a hard time with aspects of PVE, these items will give you a very overpowering boost so you can get through.

I've figured out the transferring skill points one. But it's very, very conditional. You transfer one skill point to another. Now that would work nicely on a low level character who's stocking up on skills to level with. But even then, it seems a bit costly when it's far easier to just level.

Iono i was so excited wheni saw the little even menu. too bad it was trple experience for an event not even in pre searing sigh. they coulda made this double or triple reputation pts for the new eotn titles as a nice follow-up to eotn sorta like the double rep pts for ss and lb after hard mode. oh well. gg try again anet.

But I want to hear how much combined exp you have. Im sitting around 45-50 mill exp combined on my 19 chars. So yea this event isnt nothing lol.

Great event, I'm so excited! Must hit 10mln asap! Then start complaining on forums why there's no title to show that off ;p
This thing is as cool as a double balthazar faction, I always loved those too, make so easy to farmzor stacks of torunament tokens

...... I actually perked up when I noticed this during log-in yesterday, but was going too fast to stop and actually read it...

And there I was wondering, as I set up my Pre-Sear warrior for Death-Levelling in the Northlands: "Will it be Triple Experience on Kills... or Triple Experience on Quests.... or Both?"

... But I checked this morning and sure enough it is neither...
Not only is the weekend "event" title TOTALLY MISLEADING.... but it is also TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

indee, maybe some triple faction point, or triple Drops in everything...well i realy think what Anet need a Triple creativity deparment !! Cmon Gwen out..Who The Hell need Xp. skill point dont give money!

You know what we need? An npc that convert xp into gold or something.

What a waste, now triple rep points (Norn/Asura, etc), now THAT would have been a great weekend idea...especially given all the flak of late.

Yeah, unless you have a new char running through Prophecies, this is tits-on-a-bull useless. They're pretty much tossing it after EotN. Gonna be a loooooonng wait for fanbois to GW2.

Beats my .5 mil on the majority of my pves.

Perhaps I could level my angry level 19 necromancer thats been gathering dust after I created him when Nightfall came out.

Seriously though...

A triple XP weekend could have been good if it was from all sources or even just from quests alone... It would have been useful if it was something that low-level characters (who actually NEED XP) could make use of....
But as it stands, the only places where it will be of ANY use at all are Prophecies Missions, Shing Jea Missions and Istan Missions.
Like OH NOEZ! Can't level up my character without getting triple XP from Minister Cho's Estate!

Well i for one will be making that new PvE monk I've been umming and arring over the last few months... especially through factions, he'll be lvl 20 before he leaves the starter island

EDIT: Just thought about that and being just missions, that wouldn't work... oh well, going for protector on my four characters this weekend then

Funny thing is my mate has just got the the game so once he hears about this he'll be wooting all weekend!

Surprised that they'd have another special weekend right after GW:EN comes out. Well, at least this will allow my newly created character (for GW:EN) to get up to level 20 to move over...

DOH! that would have spead up the long hall to LDoA a little (45 hrs and not even lvl 10).

Repeatable EotN quests give experience on subsequent runs? Wow, I never actually knew that. So now they give, what, like 6k XP instead of 2k? I don't think that it would be any faster than just doing some FFF. So, yeah, useless unless you're already farming them, and then it's just a mediocre bonus.

Now, if it were triple quest rewards, it would be amazingly easy to get a Legendary Survivor. Actually, thinking about Survivor titles, I wonder if the 50k from prophecies ascension is tripled on this weekend.

Give me triple reputation gain weekend plz

...I just happen to have a new Ranger who's going to love the triple XP weekend. Thanks ANet - you've just made levelling him one hell of a lot easier for me
