OK, I tried exactley 47 time from yesterday and a bit today!
I know how many times because I started with 5K and now I have 300 gold left!

Which mission? Well it's not really a mission it's a quest that is driving me CRAZY!!!!
The moa egg quest ... that is! I have all the ingredients and I'm trying to get the book from Zho, but is seems Zho doesn't want to fight me! I always die when I get Bison.

This quest is ******* me off, for pete sakes how many time have I to go on with the Norn Arena?
Can someone explain to me why it's so hard to get Zho?

I know already that I'm not one lucky player, (I had the confirmation when I was the only one that got a crap purple item from Frostmaw Burrow's gold chest!), but that's ok.
What is not ok is my wasting time and gold on a PvP fight that has no end!

I know that I should get over it and let it go, but the mini moa pet is the only one that I really, realkly like! And I want it!

PS. On a second thought I should try to get Tom Cruise to help me!

For me it's the Titan Quests where you die when the NPC dies. Especially "The Last Day Dawns" is very hard. I have the same problem with "To Sorrows Furnace" where the dwarf rushes into enemy mobs and dies.

Not really a mission but, Lornar's Pass. To this day I still cannot traverse that area without dying.

Funnest would have to be that one Kilroy's quest where I put on some big ass Brass Knuckles, and start punching a bunch of midgets in a cave!!!!!!! Everytime they go down, I shout "KO'd!"

LOL.

Prophecies:
For funnest I would pick the Augury Rock / Defeating Doppelganger.
For the most infuriating I would pick 3rd last mission - Ring of Fire. I was new to GW and rushed the missions till I got to this one. Took me a week to pass, but it was my ascension mission in real terms. I learned much.

Nightfall:
For funnest I would pick the Tihark Orchard which you have to solo, and outdrink some slob.
For the most infuriating I would pick Gate of Madness. Took me about 15 tries with almost complete rebuilds in between to pass it. Like someone else said above - I do not like to spoil by reading wiki, I want to figure things out myself.
Second most irritating mission must be Grand Court of Sebelkeh.

EotN:
Funnest must be the Snowmen dungeon. I love doing that one - its a good destresser with some worth (farming points).
I can not single out a mission for toughest or hardest. The only thing I do hate is the bosses with Mindblast Elite - because of their increased damage and recharge rate of that skill they kill me quickly with 2 blasts.

The funnest and hardest thing to do for me, is doing the Droknar run with low level henches from Beacon's. The first time I did it it took me the whole Saturday and I died 88 times. I don't die so much these days, since its slightly easier in HM (your henches are upgraded to lvl 20 with elites). Still fun to do though and makes reasonable gold & loot from it.

Propably Ring of Fire Island missions in my early days. Those were just long and.. Tedious. The Mursaat were quiet an opponent and I *hate* those towers. Surprisingly tough, never had any problems with Shiverpeaks.

Most enjoyment in beating a mission - Abbadons Mouth about 14 months ago when there were no hero's and PUG's were more accepted..

PUG party of 5 made up of 3 W/Mo's, one W/Me (me) and a Ranger/Mo. Now we weren't silly enough to start out with that party. We just happened to end up with it when we came to the first boss pairing and the 2 monks and nuker all up and rage quit because they felt there were too many stupid warriors to heal and that we should have ditched someone for another nuker.

We took a quick headcount and voted to press on. Only one res in the party (Ranger) and 3 of the 4 warriors had a signet. We had some real problems doing enough damage and landing enough interrupts to take out the monk boss, and it was easy to get to 50% DP. People then had to try and hide at the back to work their DP off. Several times it came down to the ranger dodging away as the only one alove to come back and res us all whilst dodging Mursaat hammers.

That was the best PUG I have ever come across .

Since I have been spending more time in GWEN these days I'll focuse on that:

Defend the eye is fun with four spliter barragers. Stay on the ramp and just let go. Those mobs go down so fast if you blink your eyes you'll miss them.

Destruction Depths is probably a pain in the ass for a reason, but with a good team build the mission is simple, especially on your second sucessful run.
It really is the Gate of Maddness of GWEN.

The mission I hate the most has to be divinity coast trying to get masters. Those choosen are stupid and for whatever reason i seem to be too late to save them for their captures.

Definitely Vizunah Square.

Being the third mission in Factions, I was literally caught by surprise by the number of mobs in the mission.... Well, somehow I felt different after going through that mission for the first time.

I love the mission so much that there were days where I do like 8 times in a row. If only there's a title for doing a mission many times.

Prophecies: Ice Caves of Sorrow. Not the hardest, but the most fun.

Nightfall: Gate of Pain, on my ranger. I love interrupting the terrorwebs.

Factions: None

GWEN: Don't know, haven't done them all yet.

Yea that ones really hard. Hint - Put mantra of flame on everyone, and you cannot use the henchmen.

Mine has to be Eternal Grove, the only mission I have left for gaurdian of cantha.

Prophecies: Not sure there is one. THK was always henchable, but it got its reputation as a ball buster because people would try to pug it with new players. I'll go with Dunes of Despair, since getting the mission and bonus in one run (without resorting to teleporting) can be a challenge.

Factions: Used to be Vizunah Square, but either they made it easier or NF skills really overpower it. I lost all respect for that mission after H&H'ing it with my level 13 monk and sub-20 heroes (H&H other side as well). I'll go with Eternal Grove, the one mission that would have made perfect sense to make cooperative, yet they chose not to. Promoting a split build in PvE is a fun idea, and since it requires a little strategy to get masters, I'll give it the nod.

NF: I dunno. Maybe Gate of Madness, because it was really annoying (the first time) playing through the mission and then having to face 2 bosses at the end. Not that hard if you're prepared for it, frustrating if you're not.

EN: Haven't finished it, but it's too easy so far. The one challenge i've seen so far is a wurm boss that wipes your party in a couple shots, but since the res portal is right next to him, it's not as frustrating as it has the potential to be.

Prophecies: Abbadon's Mouth. Glitched bonus ftl, and veyer single group I do aside from the alliance once request bonus. Note that also a bunch of people also have no idea what infusion is. Doesn't help.

Factions: Eternal Grove HM anyone? >_>. I'm thankful I got an exp. group for it, else I'd still be on it.

Nightfall: Gate of Madness, hands down. Why? Well people have no strategy and I've got sour feelings about this mission. My last pug took 2 hours to clear, and I swore never to do it again without my alliance.

EotN: Maybe Rragar's Menagerie, so far... we'll see once I get to the end-game quests.

My funniest memory was when I was getting Dzagonur Bastion for my protector title, and I thought that you had to retain all 6 defenses to get masters. So, when I lost one, I'd immediately map back to the mission outpost, thinking that I'd just be wasting my time completing it now. After 5 or 6 tries I finally did retaining all the defenses, only to find out on wiki minutes later that you can lose one of them and still get masters ;_;. I guess that doesn't really answer the question though. Guess I'll go through it by campaign like other people.

Proph: Dunno, none of the areas/missions/quests were ever really difficult for me although recently HM 6-man areas are wearing through my patience. In HM for 6 man areas Ive found that you need 2 monks, and in areas with 2 monk enemies in the same group, you can forget about having enough damage to kill them, even with a BHA ranger. This is with H/H. Funnest area would be SF or Abaddon's Mouth mission I guess. Idk, prophecies was fun for me when everything was new. After that, I never really revisited it too much except to get protector title.

Factions: Gyala is always fun for me, and doing the Deep with guildies/friends. The Deep is challenging with 6 people NM/9 people HM but with guildies/friends it's light-spirited, and the time goes by quick.

NF: Riding the wurm for the first time was great. I liked Gate of Madness, and I don't really understand the trouble people have with it. I've beaten it every time I try and it was even easier when I went for Masters to get protector. Most challenging though would be Consulate Docks the first time I went through with my level 14 paragon. I think they nerfed it since then though...don't remember. The first part (before the wurm) of Gate of Desolation took me a few tries the first time through. Getting the wurm was totally worth it though.

GWEN: Cyndr, the Mountain Heart for sure. Took a round or two of full party wipes (rez shrine right nearby though) for me to figure out to drop kegs on her. Even after that, mhenlo and lina would die before I could get anywhere. When most of the team was at 45 and I was at 15 or 20ish, I just ran the team in with a keg, and dropped it, flagged henchies up there, got another keg, dropped it. Died+party wipe before I could drop the last keg, so when I rezzed I just flagged heroes and henchies around her, dropped the last keg, and even before I reached her, 3 henchies had died, including lina. After I dropped it and before it blew up, I died, so all that was left was devona, mhenlo, zho, and I think vekk, but they managed to kill her before time ran out. I was so happy for a few seconds only to get a shitty gold rit staff from the end chest. >_<

I posted a similar thread in the Eye of the North Forum, asking ANet to remove that blasted 100 gold entry fee. You don't have to pay for polymock or dwarven boxing. I got mostly all /agrees - so please ANet, kill off that 100 gold idea.

I won't play in the Norn tourney again until they do. I have never seen Zho, can't get past Alesia or of course Bison (my problems), but being beat down for 100 gold? Argg.

Dumb.

10 non-stop minutes of kiting and stomping baddies while interupting and nuking. All with an H/H team.
That quest was the most epic and fun time of my GW career so far. full H/H team with my dervish going crazy not believing i'm actually surviving this and kicking summit a$$. I relaxed like 3 times thinking it was over only to have to keep fighting more and more. oh man did i feel great after it was over tho.

Although The Deep, Urgoz, and Tombs aren't particularly hard when you have a good group, the bad ones show up far too often, so any solid group in one of those is awesome. Huge pulls in HM Tombs without anyone dying is always pretty interesting - lots of pretty numbers when you're playing on a Splinter Barrage R. SS in The Deep with a group of around 12 Oni is too.

No mission was ever good enough to get the title of mission impossible by me. Probably because I am so 1337.

j/k

Raisu Palace was a real pain when it came to getting masters.
