Auction Board On this site

I am new here and I was looking for a place to post this question and I could not find a spot so I hope this will be fine. I was looking at the auction board and trying to figure out how to use it. I know that I need to sign up but my question is around the gold and how you get and give the items. Do you buy your gold or does it use the gold from your guild wars account? If you buy something how to you give them your gold and get your items and vise versa. Hope this was not to dumb of a question. I looked at the faqs and could not find the answer. Is it safe to use this auction site?

You bid with the gold on your GW account. You don't buy gold (well, you shouldn't. You'll be banned.) Just sign up and place a bid on the items you're interested in. If you're the high bidder, the seller should contact you and arrange a time to trade ingame.

Bidding on the auctions is perfectly safe. Just be careful when trading ingame and be sure you are actually getting the item you bid on. Some unscrupulous traders will try a bait and switch on ya, but that isn't a big problem on this site.
