Well that eternal weaponsmith in FoW doesn't do anything except stand there. Give him a purpose, like the armor crafter in FoW. Complete a super hard quest, get the chance to craft an inscripable chaos weapon. Make it expensive, but not incredibly overpriced. Maybe something along the price of an armbrace?

Chaos gloves are ridiculous. It made the game ugly, not joking. These non-related armor were A.Net's worst mistake regarding armor. I hope they dont make the same mistake at Guild Wars 2.
Affordable? Just because every player can affor 600 ectos.
To the OP:
You know Chaos axe is a 2D item, so every other one will follow the same pattern. Now how about Hammers, will they be 2D too?

It would be fun, but the reason why the Choas axe is cool is two reasons, cool skin and people barely use it (swords being the weapon of choice) so you rarely see it in action.
Introducing all the weapons as Chaos would make them common, and overkill. I like the glow, but a glowing scythe? You want a Gold Chains over your armor too? Personally too Gaudy. Swords have skins that axes done have, as axes have skins that no other weapon has. Thats what makes weapons rare.
