Heart of the Shiverpeaks not working

Tried to complete this mission, only to find out that Budger Blackpowder won't respond to anybody when talked to. Anyone know what Anet did in the last update to break this quest?

I just did the quest with some guildies without a problem. Did all of you have the Heart of the Shiverpeaks quest?

Lessee, go to EotN, abandon the original quest, start for the caves, meet Ironhammer, get the quest, find Budger, then............ nothing.

I got to the end of it before the last update, and tried it again with some allies today, but no go. Budger wouldn't talk to any of us.

Only time we had this problem was when we had already completed the quest, going to the scrying pool and getting the quest again should fix the issue.

I just had the same problem. I've already completed the game and wanted to help some friends through this quest/mission. However, I was unable to obtain the quest again from the scrying pool and thus the little pyro-dwarf would not talk to us as long as I was in the party. Everyone in the party has to have the quest active in order to progress. Hopefully this will be fixed shortly by Anet.

I reported it Gnard. but I still think its related to someone in the group that did not have the quest and thus the NPC did not follow as it should have...

I know I have seen this problem before on another quest and all they did was tweak the NPC to not give the reward for the quest. Problem is that reward is a Party chest. so everyone gets it. its a bit of a conundrum... It will take something in the quest to alert the party leader that someone is not ready when starting it to avoid the problem...

It may be as simple as allowing it to be accessible in the pool again once the expansion is complete... Instead of going through the full quest arch again. Or Anythign you have recorded in your book does not require all the prior quest to repeat again... that kind of thing... they are working on it...

Its fixed now Gnard. Now if someone does not have the quest they just do not get the reward for the quest itself... But it will not penalize everyone else in the party...

you need to be the party host to talk to him
then he gives u the barrels...
