Match Loot-Drops to Monster Difficulty in EotN!
SotiCoto
The quality of drops from enemies in Guild Wars depends on level.
People b!tched and complained about A-Net making things harder by just increasing monster level and giving them higher attributes. I didn't complain... for one reason or other.
A-Net's answer?
To fill Eye of the North with considerably tougher level 20 monsters with truly system-raping monster skills.
The problem with this?
They drop the same quality and volume of drops as any other level 20 monster.
FFS A-Net.... Either tweak the Eye of the North monsters in some unique way to give the same drops as higher-level monsters..... or amp those level 20 critters up to at least level 24 and tone down their monster skills to compensate for the increased power.
With the exception of a few particularly nasty enemies, I'm alright with the difficulty of most of the creatures in Eye of the North.... but the drops are absolutely abysmal... and better suited to level 15 characters in a party of 6.
I figure I'm best off just staying in Cantha or levelling my Pre-Sear character until this gets fixed. GW:EN isn't financially sustainable.

i agree, i havent seen many golds around, just non max whites and blues, every now and then (if lucky) a purple. even then, the chances of it is that it isnt max either. Fix It A-Net!
Winterclaw
Last gold drop I got in GWEN was a pair of 7-16 daggers. I had a nice stat shield before that. Otherwise I've been seeing way too many non-max junk drops which frankly aren't even worth the inventory space to haul them back to town to merch them.

just got a gold 14-20 req 9 flamberge today...kinda disappointed.
Razorblade Monkey
Totally agree here...
I kill about 60 Destroyers (in small waves of course =oP), I get 1x Destroyer Core, about 150g cash, and about 250g worth of crappy white non-max items... Aside from the Destroyer Core, I could almost get the same from outside Shing Jea Monestary...
Further on from this, the compulsory use of Lockpicks doesn't bother me so much, what does bother me is that the 30-something lockpicks i have used since the preview event and launch has got me 3 golds (2 of them non-max)... So basically we're being forced to use the most expensive form of chest openers to be rewarded with drops I could get from a Shing Jea Chest... I have heard a number of ppl say they get loads of purple as well...

I've noticed the drops getting pretty crappy game-wide since EotN came out. When you face off against 6 level 28 Jotun, you should get more than 100 gold and a 14-20 gilded sword.
Effendi Westland
Fix drops in DoA first, considerably harder then GW:EN, even lousier drops.
Ferret
Yeah, i've noticed this too. To be honest though, it's not only the creature drops, it's the chests too, in fact i'm getting more golds from creature drops.
With the chests i'm getting about 1 gold in 8 picks and about 50/50 destruction rate.
Treasure in general really needs sorting in GW:EN.

Agree, a puppy die everytime a lv29 boss drop a white non max item.
MithranArkanere
Yay. Bosses should have their drops limited to chest quality: at least purple.

The ONLY upside I have found so far to fighting so many Level 20 monsters is that, as an Assassin, my Critical Hit ratio is quite high.
The drops really don't compensate me though.
Nightfall's drops totally trump it.
