Builds based on the animal blessings?
VonGimli
Well, after getting the animal blessing skills, I have been thinking of a build that would make the use of these skills more effective. But all enchantments are taken away once you use the skill. I tried using Ursan Blessing today doing hard mode in ascalon, and I had GREAT success. Im a ranger, just switched to my brass knuckles and went crazy on guys. Basically I need something that will last forever that isnt an enchantment, since I stay in ursan form for quite awhile when I turn it on. I was thinking of going /assassin and pumping daggar mastery. I use daggers since they attack faster so I gain more energy while in ursan form. What do you think?

Scythe?
AoE ftw?
AoE ftw?

Well the point is you lose ALL your skills when you go into ursan form, you get a whole new skill bar. So I need something that would be effective that way.

Ok... let us check here.
How much of the following ON YOU do you lose?:
#1. Enchantments
#2. Stances
#3. Shouts / Chants / Echoes (etc)
#4. Weapon Spells
#5. Conditions
#6. Generally effecting skills

You lose all enchantments cast on you and those you are maintaning. Your entire skill bar disappears, replaced completely with the Ursan skills. Any conditions, shouts, chants, and all that stuff that is already effecting you stays on you. But the problem with relying on those is that you stay in ursan mode for awhile, those skills only last like 20 seconds, they are only going to help you through like the first combat. What I ended up doing was using my skill bar like a toolbox I went into daggar mastery as well. I use a pet, and I have 2 res sigs (normal and sunspear) and a signet of capture on my skill bar. I also have 2 running skills on my bar. This has seemed to work well.

With Ursan, one of the skills requires that mobs be close together in order to cause damage to all, so close-in weapons like daggers/knuckles/swords and such work nicely. It increases HP too, which is like my second wind - I get beat down by a mob after using the primary normal skills, reaching critically low HP and practically no energy, then poof! Throw on Ursan and I'm renewed again.
My rit mows through the baddies with that so long as Ogden actually stays far enough out to heal me.

How about spirits? doesn't that work?
Wulfgast
It seems that this is bad for Warriors, who already have less energy and no natural means of energy management... has anyone found use for this on a warrior? And has anyone tried this in the Norn Fighting Tourney?
Darkhorse
Works great in the Norn Tournament, though it's not so effective against Magni because he still does a lot of damage per hit.
Raiin Maker
Animal blessings in the tournament? I thought they only lasted for that 'mission' can someone explain?
wingzro
You can permanently acquire the blessings by starting with the Truthseekers quest, found in Gunnar's Hold.
KingBaen
Use a Zealous Sword for a War, it doesn't add any more Energy Degen and you get extra energy per hit
Minwanabi
Uh, you can maintain enchantments, WITHOUT getting the energy degen. GG bonding Ursan Blessing.
Curse You
Necromancer with 13+ Soul Reaping.

I dont belive it removes stances.
Otherwise, conviction is broken.

I don't know if this has changed since the preview, but it didn't remove weapon spells on me.
Vital Weapon is good for it's long duration. I'll have to see if it was changed post-preview.

Also, a zealous scythe is good. with 3 enemies infront of you, that is 6 energy easy.

How about using a Necromancer/Assasin and throwing 12 points in Soul Reaping and Dagger Mastery. Use a pair of Zelous Daggers and hack your way through. Use Tormentors Insignia for the extra 10AL which gives you 70 armor effectively making you an assasin... Sort of. This is just sometihng I tohught of when I saw this post, never tried it and I'm not sure if it would work.

On a team, you don't need more than a few extra points in Soul Reaping.
1) You gain energy every hit.
2) None of your skills use energy.
People keep making a big deal out of Soul Reaping but its only point is an energy boost between spawns. MAYBE solo it would be a bigger deal, but without a self-heal I don't understand how you'd solo with a blessing anyway.

Here is the key point. Even if you take just one hero, you can have them cast whatever enchants you would like onto you once you activate Ursan Blessing. While this won't effect the duration, it will let you benefit from any energy management skills you may want to use.
