guild wars questions

I wanted to start playing guild wars, but I got a question about the online gaming. Is the gaming all the same, wether you have the eye of north or anything expansion pack? Like, is it different online servers?

Yeah, it's mostly the same... except people who don't always buy the latest expansion get screwed over. And it's all the same server.

Prophecies, factions and Nightfall are three seperate chapters of GW. You can play any one of them on it's own (you don't need the others), or you can link them together on the same account.

Eye of the North is a true expansion, you must have at least one of the other 3 to be able to play it.

well, for a starter, which is the best to pick.
I dont have money to drop on the expansion yet.
