Whats your favorite Boss Battle?
Crom The Pale
Hands down the best ever boss battle I had was the first time I killed Glint.
It was long long ago before Sorrows Furnace update...
8 live people ventured into the Dragons Lair to do the unthinkable.
2 Wars
2 Elementals
1 Ranger
3 Monks
This was the first mission that allowed 8 people to work together, and we worked very well indeed.
Surrounding Glint we sent myself(War/monk) and the other Warrior in close with the rest at the edge of agro, then the egg was taken...
For the next 15+ minutes we battled that beast, chipping away at this hit points and ressing our fallen comrads. Nobody stood still, always circling, moving or running when Glint broak from the Wars to charge the outer ring of antagonists.
In the end Glint lay dead at our feet and a massive roar went up, ok was typed on screen, at our fantastic accomplishment.
Keep in mind this was with people that had not yet beaten the game, did not have all skills or elite for there primary, let alone there secondary proffesions.
Side note*
This was what I was expecting/hoping the battle with the great destroyer would be. Make him twice the size of Glint with 5000 hp and a few strong skils.
Destroyer blaze : deal 500 dmg to target foe and burning for 5seconds
Destroyer howl : strip all enchantments from foe in shout range, deal 25dmg for each enchantment removed
Destroyer Aura : remove all hexs and conditions, deal 50 dmg and cause burning for 5 seconds to one foe for each hex removed
Destroyer Feast : steal 100hp from each foe that is burning within agro range.
Now that would have been a battle to be proud of!

Me and my friend vs Shiro and the Lich.
We did it the first time we saw him (Just).....
Then went on to finish the game, I think that made me the first UK paragon to finish NF. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SUBJECT MYSELF TO THAT.

Sarss Stormscale: He's right outside Eredon Terrace. He's an air ele boss. I remember getting wiped by him during the Factions preview. I was totally caught off guard by the increase in boss damage that they had put in Factions. That was a good fight to go back for.
Zeek Aran
Chung the Attuned. Hardmode. I didn't win. XD
MithranArkanere
I'm with Glint. Not as hard as Funny.
I still remember the 'Interrupt that!!!!!!' yells anyone telling when she was about to use Crystal Hibernation, XDDD.

Mine was also Glint. It was an all guildy run waaaaaay back in the day and we just wanted to see if we could do it. Half an hour of circling and ressing and alot of profanity via TS, but the screenshot of the cinematic after the battle with us all lined up, matching capes, and that giant dragon dead at our feet, well back then that was just the limit man.
::sniff::
I wish GW had alot more boss battles that rivaled that one.

No contest.
Glint.

The Forgeman in Sorrow's Furnace was pretty awesome. Coordinating a PuG that had never been there before without the help of wiki was fun.
A close second would be Fendi Nin in Shards of Orr.
"Wow, he's almost dead, that was really easy"
*Fendi's soul spawns along with a pile of rits*
"Oh shi-"

Malice Black
Has to be Glint, she is the 'original' boss.

Got to be Molotov Rocktail...
The first time i saw him i was like oh my god thats a big siege devourer so me and my heros and henchies went in and i did what i always do with bosses and slapped pain inverter on him when all of a sudden he uses some siege attack and wipes out 6 of my party but lets just say pain inverter did its job and he got obliterated from it... shortest boss battle on GW:EN ever.

Didn't have an issue with him, I tanked him with my devourer while the H/H laid into him.
Did get wiped when I was out farming some points though, didn't see him coming *boom* party wipe

Man, Glint for me was really disappointing. I only did the mission once, when I was still new to the game. I had heard that I'd have to fight this Big ass dragon, and that it was hard as hell. Unfortunately, me and a guildie beat her easily with henchmen..sigh.
yesitsrob
Urgoz, he is like a tree.
bloodvayne
I almost got to fight Urgoz.
I say almost because this was before reconnects :/
But right now I'm going to have to go with Zoldark the Unholy, he wasn't entirely hard, but was a very fun boss fight. Very cool looking character too.

Maybe Glint has been made easier, but I just recently went through the Dragons Lair to cap skills and decided to give her a shot. With no real planning I beat her easily :S
I'd have to say the Lich. He's not hard, and the fight wasnt particularly amazing, but I had owned prophecies for nearly 2 years and never got around to beating him. So when I did it felt great.

Trying to vangwish asclan and keep fighting the Grawl monk boss for like 45 min and when he reach 10% hp he cast heal hands and we dont have intrupt skill in our group so it was my best vs boss coz he droped a req 8 15^50 spatha for me. so its the best boss i fight.
Toutatis
My favourite boss fight so far has been Shiro in the Imperial Sanctum. Mainly because to me, he's been the only truly challenging boss I've had to deal with so far.
I like it when I have to make 8 or 9 (or more) attempts to kill a boss, as I had to with Shiro. It lets me try out more different strategies to refine my gameplay, and gives me a bigger sense of accomplishment when the bss finally hits the dirt.

Glint ftw ! Taking down the big dragon is always fun.
Thorondor Port
Glint was good. Markis broke my heart the very first time through prophicies. Felt good to own him.
My first and only trip through the Deep got me his sword. So that was cool too.

I waited so long for glint that I knew how to fight her and thus i didn't enjoyed the fight.
the most frustrating boss I had to fight has to be the one owning VwK. he deals so much damage and he's still able to heal himself with ease.
So fighting him and pwning his face will always be my favorite battle

Glint probably, where our group didn't actually plan to fight it, just that one of our group members decided he wanted an Egg souvenir and we got owned. Horribly. Fun until Glint noticed me laughing in the corner at my flaming teammates. We went back and killed Glint later on, though.
But to be honest, I had more fun defending the fortress just before the Ring of Fire Islands, mainly because I had a good team, and because I had failed this mission so many times due to bad teams or bad luck that I had to force myself to like it or go crazy.

All your base are belong to Churrta!

I enjoyed Shiro and The Lich (Together) the best. I did it with just henchmen and really enjoyed the pressure of it (having to keep moving so Shiro can't attack you, going round to the different shrines and getting all the god's bonuses etc)
I know some of the better players will scoff and say 'Pressure? That battle ain't hard, try Mallyx etc', but I ain't the best player in the world and I really enjoyed it.

The best boss battle is the finished one (in your favor )
Seriously though, I lold when i went for the 2nd time against Molotov Rocktail. He wiped out my H/H party (me included) for 3 times and had us pinned to the res shrine. i just /resigned and restarted.
Another cool moment was when I went 1 vs 1 on Hablion in the jungle. (TAKE THAT M****** F***ER!!)
Also, before the AoE nerf, going solo against Shreader and his entire mob (with war) was like...COOL.
Glint is cool i suppose, but I killed her SOOOO long ago I forgot how it feels. Maybe i should refresh my memory .

Glint was memorable.. the first time me and my friend atempted to kill her we wiped so damn fast.. so we came back and after 10-15 minutes or fighting we slayed that damn dragon... hehe
This was memorable because it was back when I was a newb.. a random build, a white sword and a blue shield that I thought was amazing because it gave me +11hp =D
I wish the great destroyer was more of a boss.. I mean I have fought harder bosses that aren't even important in the storyline.

The best boss battle ever has to be the story of my necro vs Maw the Mountain Heart....
Long...LONG before the AoE nerf.... 2 Necromancers and a cadre of henchman traveled north from Camp Rankor in an amazing 3 hour run through Snake Dance (which consequently held that 20/20 collector curse staff which i was looking for for so long , and i still gots it) and Dreadnaught's Drift in order to slay teh most elusive, and yet largest, creature in all of Tyria (i don't care what wiki says, Maw is bigger than the Kinslayer ).
Battling through ice, snow, sleet, and all the usual stuff we fight in GW, the cadre reached Dreadnaught's Drift. There, the team was faced with an amazing group of like 30 Stone Summit. The battle was long, and feirce, but more importantly dp building....But after about 45mins, the cadre defeated the summit, and headed east, to where the Heart of the Mountains was said to reside. There, a 3 minute battle occured that dwarfed all other battles (because Maw is so increadibly big ). When the battle finished, though, Stefan [Semi Useful Henchman], Renya [Useless Henchman], and Dunham [Really Useless Henchman] Lay dead next to the beast...Never to return to my party screen.
But there was joy, and Msixteen Atwo attained Feast of Corruption...and then 2 months later everyone wanted SS and he was angry....
The End

1st. Killing Glint on Hard mode with an Alliance group with Pugs. It was epic, and easy too. Because we were all patient, experienced players. Was great fun. Shame on me for forgetting a picture.
2nd. Killing Murakai, Lady of the Night for the first time with hero's and henchmen. Wasn't flawless, but it was so fun because what better way to die than by Murakai's Storm of Souls (monster skill).

Maw the Mountain Heart
The trek alone makes it worth it. Then you're in this corner where the whole ground rumbles and a gigantanormous frost wurm pops out and roars at everyone
Pity thats the only thing he can do, pop out of the ground and roar at everyone

Fendi Nin at Shards of Orr (spelling?). A few of the others that might be cool are glitched in one way or another, like the end boss of Cathedral of Flames :P.
Tijger
Rrangar and Hidesplitter, Rrangar was hard but he went down in 'normal' time but Hidesplitter was ridiculous, I swear we were hammering him for at least 10 minutes before we got him down.
SotiCoto
[wiki]Mungri Magicbox[/wiki] and just about every Dredge patrol in the open of northeast Ferndale.... at the same time.
That bastard heals like nothing else... I'm getting better at killing him now, but when I first encountered him, it took me 2 wipes and well over an hour to take him down because I accidentally aggroed all the patrols around him and had a Dredge Gardener fest going on all around me.
Since then I have gained some serious respect for that bastard..... though there is at least one monk (technically three, but I remember one in particular) that beats him.
[wiki]Willa the Unpleasant[/wiki]
Whenever I see her near one of those energy-thieving columns now, I just restart the damned mission. It isn't worth trying to take her on. She is practically invincible...
I for one though don't appreciate bosses that insta-wipe. That isn't something to enjoy but something to be annoyed by. And for the record, even though I'm getting better at killing him too, I still fear [wiki]Star Ancient Koosun[/wiki].

I started Guild Wars when Factions was out, so I don't remember the days when elite-less people went up against Glint.
I'm voting Bazzr Dustwing. Harsh.
